~ A friend who owns a vacuum cleaner shop here in L.A. got quite a surprise today.
A man walked in with a beautiful vintage Compact and gave it to my friend as a gift!
It's all-original and there's not a scratch on it. The only thing missing is the little insert that goes into the upholstery nozzle.
He was quite bowled over, since he used to be a Compact salesman and sold this very model. He has put it on display in his store. I told him, "Now watch and see how many people come in and ask how much it is!"

I love it. Best compact design. Such an excellent vacuum too. I'm glad to have grown up around many of these just like it. |

I'm very interested in purchasing this well above asking price. Can you relay this to the owner. Long story but willing to share with him. Thank you. |

That particular version, with the "filtex-type" tools is very rare. That hose even more so. Wonder if there was a hassock in which it was stored, to keep it so nice?
I love mine, and show it off every chance I get.

Hi Les:
Royal and Health-Mor had very similar nozzles because Royal built and engineered the first two Filter Queen models (200 and 350). The Polish-Aire is the turbine driven floor polisher. It works well, as long as the rubber drive belt is still supple. The Magic-Disc (round one) is actually a carpet sweeper for every day use that makes use of the extension wands as its handle. |
