Howdy friendly folks!
Thought someone in or near Arizona might be interested in this one - a Kirby Avalir 2, for $30! Pickup only, but I'm sure a local shipping company like PakMail would be happy to pick it up and ship to you.
Looks like it was used without a disposable bag for a bit, but these new cloth bags hold up pretty well to normal laundering!
Happy bidding!

I seen that :( I have no idea how a 3rd party freight shipper works so I gave up on that.

There was an Avalir 1 on there a month ago that I tried bidding on, and lost.

Third-party shipping

@huskyvacs, the process was pretty simple when I used them. With PakMail, I reached out to them on their website and let them know I had an auction with Goodwill. They asked for the item number from Goodwill, I handed it over, and they took care of the whole thing. I didn't need to talk to the store or anything, except to let them know I'd won the auction. Then they picked it up, packed it up, and shipped it out to me. It was a very smooth process.
I've added the link to their Phoenix location, you should reach out and get a quote from them! If you decide not to go with them, they won't mind.

Oh? Did they give you a price? How much was it? I don't have much money so I don't want to buy something without knowing the price beforehand

Just letting you know I didn't get the Kirby. I tried this shipper that you mentioned on another vacuum that was pickup only, and this is what they said
-------------------------------------------------------

I looked at the listing and I did not see any dimensions or a weight of the item which would determine the cost. I measured the vacuum that I have in my store and it would require a box that is 16x16x48. Based in that the cost to ship would be around $165 plus $25.00 for the pickup. If the item comes apart or is smaller it would bring down the cost but I have no way knowing from looking at the picture.

Thank You,
--------------------------------------------------------------------

So yeah forget that. I don't have that kind of money. You can buy a brand new Kirby in a pawn shop or on Craigslist for that cost alone. Bad news is I already placed the bid on the vacuum and I have no way to pick it up, so it will just be a strike against my Goodwill.com account. Oh well.

Yeah, the price is pretty steep

As I recall, the price for shipping was pretty similar for me through them. The vacuum I got was a metal Royal upright, so the dimensions were pretty close. It was the same thing for me, I balked at the cost as well. But I went ahead with it and ate Top Ramen for a month because I really wanted the vacuum. By the time it actually made it to my house, though, I'd already found another one with better features locally and couldn't cancel anything. Oh well!

Sorry about taking so long to get back to post on this, @huskyvacs! I have a hard time breaking away from work to do anything besides sleep most days.

Yeah I was thinking like maybe $20-$30 shipping. I never pay over $40 for any vacuum I buy online (thats with shipping included).

I'm going to see if Goodwill can still be persuaded to ship it if I offer them $25 or so.
