This is my Airway Green Goddess built in April of 1933 It's all original except for the male plug end of the cord, it appears to have been replaced. It has the original Air Way filter bag as well. I really enjoy restoring these old Air Way's. This is one of three in my collection at this time.

It's very....green! Was this the first instance of a vacuum cleaner being offered in an alternate color, I wonder?

Just beautiful. The Green Goddess in my collection came from the late Stan Kann (youtube him), who was the grandfather of vacuum collecting. Mine has the small handle and small bag, along with the cord to make it into a hand held vacuum.

I think I'm the only one in the world with the Air-Way Zephyr model twin motor.

Congratulations on owning such a stunning example of the world's first vacuum cleaner with a disposable sanitary dust container.

Is there ant chance you'd be willing to help me a bit with my airway since you've got experience with them? I just noticed we live 45 miles from each other. I can not get the air ditrction diverted to work. We can take this off board through email

Kelton,

Remove the lock screw and spray a little WD40 inside and around the window, and let it sit for some time. This should help remove, and break up the rust holding it in place. Post a few pics of what your working on.
