Google the following hoover vacuum models: C1403, C1411, C1627, or Hoover Clean and Light. You won't belive it, but the C1403 is a COMMERCIAL ELITE 200! Even with the older slide top bag. They're still made! :D The C1411 is a commercial Elite with on board tools and the older slide top bag. The C1627 is a commercial variation of the Decade 80 and the Clean and Light is some sort of Orecky thing. Enjoy!

Clean & Light

Read about it and it says it has 2x the suction of the Oreck XL Classic. And I believe it!

I think far more elites have been produced than you can easily comprehend. Take a look at this link. Is your head spinning yet?

Be sure to look at the Preferred, Preferred Series, Legacy, and Legacy II model lines too.

DANG!

That's a TON of Elites and everything else delicious! I had to add that place to my favorites!

Thanks!

I also found out that the Clean & Light model number is U4707 or U4707-900 to be exact.

By the way...

Looking at all those hoover model numbers, I remembered I came upon one of those Hoover Concept PowerMax's just like this one except for turquoise at a local used vac store a few days ago for a good price. It's in good condition and is still there. Is it worth buying? I hear they're really loud.

I'd get it. I've heard they clean very well. I don't know about the noise though.

It could be fun.

Clean and Light

Is no longer on the Hoover web site. Was it ever? I haven't been on it in a while. I bought a Clean and Light at Kohl's for Christmas. I like it. It is light and cleans very well. Royal makes the machine I think. It takes a Royal B bag if I am not mistaken.

OfficeMax has the Royal version and I have seen the Aerus vesion on ebay. I know it's not a "real" Hoover but I wanted one anyway. The fan is bigger than an Oreck so I guess there is more air-flow hence more dirt picked up.

All of those Hoovers...

Aren't made anymore... the orange ones with the slide top bag, anyways. I'm sure there are still pictures of them on the net, and some stores may still have old stock. But in 2000 Hoover changed the color of all of their commercial models from orange to black.

So, that's what's currently in production.

Dang it!

So they don't make the C1403 anymore? :-( Oh well...they're still in many stores online.

Get that Powermax and send it to me lol
I have serviced many of those but when I offer to purchase one from my customers, they never want to part with it. Some of my customers still have good taste.
