Hey Guys!

Don't know a whole lot about these machines. What belt does it take? Can it use a Panasonic Belt?

Also, is this a series 7 machine?

Ok

The symmetry is a tandem air machine, meaning it has two motors. One clean one dirty air. This means it has overall great cleaning performance on everything. It IS NOT a series 7, those are just clean air machines and the series 7s are older. The belt it takes depends if it is an Standard, Deluxe, Or Premium. The deluxe and premium have serpentine belts, while the Standard has a flat belt. You will be able to get further if you give me a picture of the machine.

Hope this helps, Avery.

That is incorrect

The Symmetry was a clean air or bypass upright line from Tacony. The Synchronys and the Synergys were the tandem air models. Also, all of the tandem air uprights uses the exact same poly vee kevlar belt.

I have a picture of what the actual model looks like, it's the farthest one on the left.

Anyways with that being said, no yours is not one of those 7 Series models. I wouldn't recommend putting in a Panasonic UB belt, especially since Panasonic no longer makes anymore belts. Tried it out once before and the genuine Simplicity belts in my opinion are better. Down below are the belts that you are looking for your machine, you can either buy from online or you can go over to a local vacuum shop that carries belts for Simplicity.

Always happy to share more info about these machines:) Also on a side note here, you must be referring to the now discontinued R20 and the S20 line, the R25 are the current models that Riccar sells today.

Simplicity And Panasonic Upright Belt Changing

Bottom line: a Panasonic UB8 Belt works but it is too tight when new.
