How can I find out who owned my used Kirby by looking up the serial number? For example number g705300 on my tradition is that a early production run ?

Find who owned it unless they took the time to register, and even if it is registered, I don’t really know a way to find out.

Even if the original owner registered it with Kirby, privacy laws could prevent disclosure of that information.
It would have been cool to know the history of the machine though...

Only way I know of is if you had the receipt. My 514 still has the receipt and manual, with not only the buyer's name, but the salesman's name as well.

Kirby is NOT going to give you that information.

If it has the safety switch in the light hood it's an early run, yours' doesn't look like it has that as it would have a lock on the side of the light hood.

It's personal information and no company will give you any personal information about anything
It's known as HIPPA. That's just how it is.

I don't think HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) would cover information related to vacuum cleaners or other household appliances but the basic idea is correct. No corporation would disclose that sort of information to a third party. It would open them up to too many lawsuits.

Here's what the early Tradition looked like

1st picture is the lock on the side of the hood
2nd picture is the safety switch under the hood
3rd picture is the pin that activates the switch
