Might as well put milk in an

orange juice bottle and call it Coca Cola.

It at least has Hoover name on it instead of oreck.

Oreck

The most interesting part about this is Oreck themselves appear to be selling the exact same machine, for more than twice the price!

They'll put the Dirt Devil name on it next and color it red.

Well what do you know? The minions at TTI have unveiled a Hoovreck! Does it come with a 21 year warranty with free annual tune-ups? Really sad to see this is what has become of the Oreck XL21. I saw a blue Royal not too long ago that was a carbon copy of an Oreck. I think Royal is just about done, will the Dirt Devil line continue on?

I wonder if you can Hoover with a dirt devil or an oreck. If so which is the better hooverer.
I bet a Eureka could really Hoover rugs.

I'm seriously considering buying this. $299 is pretty steep but it's made in the USA so it might be worth it to help keep that factory open. I can take apart an Oreck blindfolded and their cleaning ability is more than sufficient for their size.

Does anyone know how long the battery lasts? My house is almost all hard flooring so running it on low speed 80% of the time is all I need. If I could get 30min out of one it's a deal. It comes with two batteries but in the time it takes to change a battery I might as well just deal with a cord.

We need this in the UK.

I love cordless vacuums that use direct air [dirty-fan] motors and this is no exception. I've seen the Truvox Valet [Riccar Supralite Cordless] demonstrated on YouTube and that I just love at first glance, exact same with this vacuum being demonstrated on YouTube from the US.
All we get on the top-of-the-range market here in the UK is some fancy handheld vacuum with an extension tube and a floorhead. Nothing compared to these masterpieces.
Best thing the Hoover brand has given in a long time. I know it's an Oreck vacuum and I can tell, but it's still the best thing I've ever seen and one of the best performers out of many cordless vacuums.
