Does anyone know when Hoover changed from the metal wands with the plastic clips to the plastic wands with the ring lock design?
Also when did they change from the metal hose end with the clip to the plastic one with the ring? I've noticed the later Celebrities and Slimlines had the plastic hose end as well, along with plastic wands on BOL Celebrities. Also, did any of the later Celebrities come with the newer style attachments? I was looking at a manual online for a Celebrity QS, and the attachments in the drawing looked kind of like the ones from the Hoover Elite or modern Portapower style attachments. I attached some pictures from the manual, so you can see what I mean. It looks like the newer style dusting brush and floor nozzle in second pic, and later dusting brush in first pic. I didn't know the Celebrities came with those style, unless this was really late version or something. | ||

My Celebrity QS from early 80s had this type of dusting brush and floor brush.
