When something breaks, you fix it. People are getting too lazy anymore in just throwing things out instead of fixing them because they can't get what they need for free. $40-$50 for a motor is a great price. It cost me $130 to put in the correct used motor shipped from North Wales in England for my rare Miele Black Diamond that cost me $10 after someone ruined it with an aftermarket motor out of a Hoover.
Take it to a vacuum store and have them look at it. It could be a faulty wire, or could be the commutator has an arc, or maybe some dirt got in it. Also check the tubing and water channels for leaks as well. The motors are made to be water resistant so it getting wet shouldn't be too much of a problem. |
