A few times every year someone between NY and PA usually will host a mini meet, whether it be Myself, Joe Kassock, San Addison or Greg Palmer. this year with everything going on Joe was not able to host not only due to the current situation but due to some health related things so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we missed him like crazy this weekend. I had taken the reins a couple of months ago and offered to do a fall meet here at my house here in NY and sent out a Group message to a few people and had asked them to come along, I do wish more could have attended but with the 15 that did show up we had a great time. I made homemade sauce with meatballs made from scratch, and an alfredo since some people do not care for red sauce ( Rob Shore approved), there was an Antipasto with a pecan pie, Cream PuffS ( Thank you Mark Amico and JT), plenty of pastries and cakes, thanks to Sam Addison, Greg Palmer and Joel, a cheese, blackened ham and pepperoni platter with crackers, Chips thanks to Chris Szwejk Iced tea, soda, coffee etc...
Sunday morning breakfast will be served: Eggs, Bagels, Sausage, Cinnamon Buns, Rob Shores BlueBerry Muffins, Coffee, Juice, Iced tea, etc...

It was really great to see everyone some of which I haven't seen in a few years (reasons) and I hope to make this an every year thing as it was just really enjoyable. No Drama, insinuations, belittling etc... it was a very smooth meet that was extremely enjoyable to host and I am truly blessed to have these people in my life and I do hope that they all know that I dearly love them all!
So without further ado, here are some pics. and there will be more from sunday as some of us are heading to Chris Szwejk's shop for a visit and I think a small lunch with some of the left over pastries.

The meet looks like you had a great time. The food looks good.
Glad to see other people can have a mini meet too.
You have a basement in your house or a basement condo. I see the laundry room looks like I see the room is below ground.

Sam Addison had baked a lemon Chiffon cake that was absolutely out of this world. He assembled it before dessert with some homemade whipped cream. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the food too. 😊

Tom:

You are always welcome, you just like many others never need an invite. Besides I never expect someone to drive 15 hours for a mini meet.

It really was a great time. I cherish the time I spend with good friends who actually care about one another.

It really is, isn't it? that still even has the 220v motor in it. Sam purchased it from Robbie Coonradt on Saturday and it couldn't have gone to a better home. The original motor will be serviced and put to use on his new voltage converter box that I believe arrived today. He has such a wonderful collection of machines that are in pristine condition, they all run rather well and they are all properly displayed. He was a very wonderful houseguest too, as always he plays nicely with others, offers valuable information to other people and also offers help clean up when he could be with the other collectors playing with machines. he truly is a wonderful friend and I am so happy to have him as a friend.

it was truly an honor to have some of my closest vac friends here and hopefully in the future the others will be able to follow for a meet when things calm down. I was supposed to facetime with Tom Gasko, Reggie Ridlen and a few others but sadly I got caught up with cleaning, and entertaining. but all in all it was a MAJOR SUCCESS, and you can bet that this will not be the last one I do.

It’s always nice...

To see unique vacuums go to deserving people.

Sam is such a great person. I'm so glad Michael introduced the two of us. Sam is very funny, with a wicked sense of humor. So glad he got that very rare Hoover from Europe.

Yes indeed!

God only knows where it could’ve ended up. I shudder to think of it!

You and me both! It most likely would have never saw the light of day again... well it will be well used now. I had asked Chris to bring me some decorative tableware as he brought chips but he wound up running behind and forgot the decorative pieces.

You just wait to see what we have in store for you Eleanor as the shipment came in and the store's shelves are stocked with your bead readings

That color is just so....

I find something truly sublime about that shade of grey. Very elegant and understated, not as flashy as the flashy American Convertibles of the 1970’s.

Your “bash” looked so successful that I’m sure you can anticipate a larger group at the next one. Maybe you should serve punch at the next one. You could serve it from a gutted Constellation. But that’s just me....OLOLOLOLOL

Well there’s an idea that I would love to put to use! After talking with some it seems like there are more people that would come next time. Now about that shade of grey, people tend to be using a lot of grey these days and it would fit in to a lot of what people are doing with their interiors. Very elegant yes but modern as well.

“A gutted out constellation for a punch bowl”. That’s a riot. Like using upside down convertible hoods for pretzel bowls. Too funny!

I actually have access to a couple of gutted out constellations which might actually aid in putting that idea to use!!!!
