‘This is my 1953 esquire tube clock radio I just replaced all of the capacitors in it . I used to have one just like it when I was 9 but I was stupid back then and I tore it apart and ruined it so I seen this one on eBay for 65 bucks I know that’s a little exspensiv for a four tube radio but sentimental value got the best of me . If you want to more old radios let me know because I’m a collector of the classics .

I have a late '40s vintage Philco AM radio that looks a lot like that. I believe it was my mom's when she was a kid. I remember listening to CBS Radio Mystery Theatre on it when I was growing up. I also have a beautiful Grundig tabletop radio that has AM and shortwave bands. I don't believe it has FM. Like the Philco, it's a beautiful example of mid-20th century styling. The last time I tried it, the Philco worked fine. The Grundig I rescued from my parents' basement when they were moving a few years ago and I've never even plugged it in. I would post pictures but both are stored away at the moment.

$65 isn't too bad, maybe on the top end of reasonable.

I didn't collect. Old radios but that's pretty sweet looking. I like the styling and color scheme.
