I've been wanting to buy a Legend II for a while, but I have some questions before I make a purchase. My first question is if they ever made a version with a small nozzle. I really like the look of a Kirby with a small nozzle, and I love the style and colors of the Legend II. If they don't, is there an easy way to make a small nozzle for one? My last question is the parts for one. Are they easy to come by? The question I'm most focused on is the small nozzle one.

Thanks, Garrett

Garrett,

Yes, the Legend II could be had with a 13" nozzle... but they're quite rare. It was also the last Kirby to have this relic option, along with the shake-out (reusable) bag, which had by then been sold mainly to professionals.

As to parts for this "granny" head? The double-bristle brush roll (500505) had not been made since 2013, so I wish you luck getting it if you do come across one of these nozzles. The rug plate and associated hardware is exactly the same as on the 13" nozzles for models 513 to Dual Sanitronic 80.

I know I once saw(on here) a 561 with Legend II parts on it, looked really cool.

You could probably add more Legend II parts to it than he did, but its a creative alternative to a Legend II, and probably cheaper to make.

Parts are indeed readily available although many are available only in the Heritage II black color scheme but they are otherwise 100 percent the same parts.

Garrett,

If you are interested, here is a 1984 Heritage II wearing a Heritage 84 13" nozzle.

You got the one in bend link switch out belt lifter and trim the bumper guard.
The vacuums that came with the 13" nozzle have it mentioned on it's name plate. Heritage 1hd 13 is what a heritage 1 would read.
I have a heritage 2 legend 13. If you look at the upside down plate you will see the 13 I'm talking about.

Les,

Your 13" nozzle Heritage II would also have the shaved headlight casting, in order to make it fit right over said nozzle.
