Hi, I know have 2 of my fave Electrolux uprights I've been after for some time now.
The Lux upright z406 and lux upright z610.

Hope you like the pics.

Only need the hose for the z406.

very nice

What interesting looking machines. I've never seen those before. The first one reminds me of a Hoover Elite.

Now, when ya going to come to FL and shine my Heritage up like yours?

:o)

Electrolux 610

What type of agitator brushroll is fitted to this machine?

I've seen 3 different types:

Type one: a moulded plastic agitator, with Hoover-style beater bars.
Type two: a one-piece moulded plastic brushroll with chevron-shaped bristles only.
Type three: plastic brushroll, with the two hemispheres riveted together, Electrolux 'Contour' style.

The Vac with the hose on the back...

Hey James/All

As you may or may not be aware the Electrolux Z610 was the first upright with on board tools to be sold this side of the pond. When I was working where I am now the 1st time in 1989 they had been out 2-3 years and were already falling apart, the main problem areas are the metal handle support ring which was always breaking and the back wheels wear the chassis and end up falling out.

Because of this one in good condition like yours must count as a pretty rare beast now...

Also I believe the Z406 was an exclusive model- possibly for the Co- Op.

Seamus

P.S James- I see someone REALLY wanted your Turbomaster Freedom lol!

Hi Calum.
The 610 has the second type with curved brushes.

Hi seamus.
Yeah I love both of my lux upright as well as my other Electrolux 612 which is not pictured.
There getting very hard to find now. Glad I have them.
I am suprise my Hoover turbomaster freedom cleaner went for so much.
I had one the other year I gave away free!! I love turbomasters just was never keen on that one as the freedoms use to leak so people use to convert them to bags.

Hay ho.

James
