Dust spewing or not, they're still worth having in the collection. I'm keeping mine. |

Oh, one thing I forgot. This model is unique in that the attachment port is actually labeled "spare belt storage" or something like that. It's blocked off from the airflow, and there's just enough room to stick a belt in there! |

I used to work for an arts and crafts store that was brand new when I worked there, I actually helped with preliminary floor sets before they opened... they had this model Hoover that I had to use in the evenings when I closed... it seemed to pick up pretty well, the only drawback was (and this could just be a singular design flaw on this individual machine) but the one singular screw that keeps the handle connected to the motor/base of the unit would ALWAYS come undone due to the vibration of the machine while it was in use. Well, when the handle would come loose, it would loose it's electrical current from the base to the handle and the machine would shut down. you basically had to vacuum using both hands to hold the machine in one piece as you pulled it back towards you. Like I said, it could have been that maybe this machine just had a stripped screw, but nonetheless, it was cumbersome. It was also very messy to empty. I have seen these machines for sale at office supply stores such as Officemax, Office Depot and Staples if you would like to buy a brand new one. Amazon.com also has this model NEW starting at $129.00 along with several other Hoover commercial models.. my favorite is actually the Hoover Commercial Guardsman C1431 Vacuum Cleaner. It bears the most resemblnace to the classic convertible series... |

The vacuum probably lost the nut in the back that holds it in place. Sorry for the bad quality picture. |
