I've owned my Eureka NER300 robot vacuum cleaner for a few months, and it has been a great deal for a sub-$200 robot. Here are my thoughts on it.
First of all, I have a fancy Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 robot vacuum that runs every night downstairs, where the floor is all laminate. So I have the Eureka Groove setup upstairs where I have carpets (except for the bathroom and laundry room). It's powerful and leaves the carpets looking clean. The little dust cup gets full every night, which makes sense since I have a cat that runs around up there. I've had it snag on some obstacles, like cables and such, so I've had to free the robot from them. The robot isn't AI-controlled, so it just roams around the floor and returns to its base in the laundry room once it stumbles across the base. So the machine's kind of a dumb bot, but it actually does a great job of cleaning carpets and bare floors. It's controlled by either a remote or a phone app. The robot also has Alexa built-in, but I haven't tested it, as I don't particularly care for smart assistants. There are a couple of issues with this robot. For one, the single side brush is unreliable and has fallen apart after several uses. Luckily, the vacuum came with an extra brush, but it fell apart faster than the last one. I might have to contact Eureka about getting replacement side brushes, but I'm concerned that they'll fall apart just as quickly as the ones included with the vacuum. Second, this is a rare occurrence that has only ever happened twice. The robot will return to its charging base, but will be turned a full 180 degrees away from it! Then the robot won't run the following night. This means that I have to turn the robot back around to make it charge. All in all, this is a great robot vacuum, despite not having any advanced AI or room learning features, but that's not a dealbreaker. It runs long enough to clean a few sizable rooms, and it won't fall down stairs.
