I guess this question could apply to any vacuum, but I just picked up a bissell pet hair eraser upright vacuum and wanted to know the proper way to carry it around... By the upper handle part or the handle on the collection tank?

Thank you...

I wasn't familiar with that vacuum so I had a look at the manual. The diagram calls the handle on the collection bin a "carry handle" so you should be able to carry it by that handle. Plus lower center of gravity makes it easier to carry.

By the way, looks like a really cool vacuum and some neat features too! I'll have to check one out sometime.

I recently learned how best to carry a Kirby upright: by the bottom of the handle fork.

Ben, yep same with Hoover Convertibles where the handle met the machine there is what they call a "bail handle" which was used to easily carry the machine around/up and down stairs, etc. You can see they had the same idea with the Elites too.
