1. I can't even imagine why anyone would have even listed that vacuum for sale. 2.It is no secret we are a ambitious group when it come to reviving vintage machines. How ever I can't imagine any of us are that crazy. | ||

That was 60 years ago. The more people throw them out, the rarer they become. Same reason why Shetland vacuums are hard to find. Same reason even why the Hoover Z-series are so rare, because Hoover threw all the parts away. Nobody could fix theirs so all the people that bought them on clearance for $50-$80, eventually just threw them out. | ||

Well, it also has to do with build quality. Shetland from what I've heard used PLASTIC suction fans, and alot of companies cheaped out using sleeve bearings versus ball bearings. I would love to add a nice Kenmore Duo-Power upright to go with my Dial-A-Matic collection but they're rarer than hen's teeth nowadays because I'm sure the build quality was nowhere near as good. The ONLY vintage vacs I see with any frequency come into our shop are Electroluxes and Kirbys. Once in a blue I may see an old Hoover Convertible or a Concept One.
