I know we have some on here who really enjoy their Kirby cleaners so I thought I would post this video, it provides three suggestions to improve the performance of Kirby vacuums, if you use a Kirby frequently you may already know these but I thought some may find it helpful.

Good basic infomation but...

...no great revelations. This is great information for someone who has never used a Kirby before but the bag and belt recommendations are true of just about any vacuum cleaner.

the first suggestion

I don't use Kirbys since I much prefer hose cleaners but I like to think I have a basic idea of how they work. I actually had never heard the first idea about adjusting the brush, I know the Kirby has a height adjustment but I had never heard of removing the belt to adjust a brush setting.

I can't help but wonder which model of Kirby he uses in that video.

That has been a feature of Kirby for decades. Pre Generation series have a machine screw at each end of the brush roll to compensate for wear of the brush tufts. Now it is a 3 position adjustment Royal metal uprights had a similar feature on the brush roller as the Generation series Kirby's.
