Does anybody really care if they still make this though?
Not trying to sound mean but why in the hell are you asking this.

I question why it still has that annoying pleated paper filter that clogs and is a nightmare to clean. Good thing the bagged model exist.

He's asking because he wants to know. Why else would somebody ask a question? There's no reason for Sanitaire (Bissell) to keep making this. If you don't know the reasons, watch the video.

This is a forum where questions are answered and vacuums are discussed.
Your post doesn't follow any of those criteria. Why are you posting here?
Vacuum devil they haven't sold out of their original production run. They also enjoy bad reviews.
It's similar to kirby vacuum. Kirby if it's not broke don't fix it sanitaire motto of its broke why fix it.

Huh?

regularrett69's profile picture

@Lesinutah whose post are you talking about? Are you talking about this thread's existence or somebodies reply? Back in preschool, they used to have one of these. I don't remember if it was bagged or bagless. But whenever I'd cry about something or be sad, they would take me to the vacuum and cheer me up. I cherish those days. I'd like to get one of these for a good price.

Thanks, Garrett

You guys do realize the point of the question was for you to click on the YouTube link. Apparently that’s how they make money. Do not click on the link.

Well

regularrett69's profile picture

No, we don't realize that. I normally watch this author's videos, even without clicking the link, and they are interesting to watch. I don't really know if just clicking that link gives Alex money, but even if it does, what's so bad about it? If I got money every time somebody clicked a link of mine, I'd want them to click it. It wouldn't be any hassle more for them.

I think my best bet for buying one of these is on Offerup. That website usually has some great posts once in a while, and I've seen one of these Sanitaires before there. I just got a mini flashback to that vacuum at my preschool, and it was the bagged variant. With a black bag cup.

Thanks, Garrett

Yeah... yer probably the type of people that think 5g towers cause coronavirus.
Does anybody really care if the video gives money to the maker of the video?

Post# 431384 , Reply# 9   9/6/2020 at 18:10 (1,321 days old) by Lesinutah (Utah)
No

lesinutah's profile picture
It was a reply to eurekafansquid. He asked why this thread was started.
Reread their post and read mine.
I didn't watch the video. It's a sanitaire that has a beater bar. It's descent on carpets but thumps the hell out of soft surfaces. It basically useless on non carpeted surfaces.
The corona virus can be had through 5g network. I thought coronas were beers passed around at parties or on tropical island. Tony romo answers the phone for their customer service line.
Stupidity it's pretty contagious and I'd watch out.

I know exactly where the coronavirus came from. There was a lady who looked after the bats. They got loose and the virus spread.
I've tested positive for covid-19 sars2 virus.
I admire your attempt to educate me.
Im not kidding on the covid-19 positive but I am highly. Im intelligent and we'll informed on most subjects.

I thought Sanitaire was owned by Electrolux. Sounds absolutely disgusting if Bissell stole them.

God forbid if I owned another bagless vacuum.......what I would do is just use a bagged vacuum to clean the bagless bin/fiters. That pleated filter does look like a nightmare to clean, but I bet you could do it pretty easy with a crevice tool.

My grandmother use to have a Eureka Whirlwind lightspeed and it definitely a nightmare to clean. And replacements were expensive so that whirlwind died quickly.

If only there were a way to tell consumers the major disadvantages of their "high performance" "top of the line" popular Shark and Dyson vacuum cleaners. I have I think 4 bagless cleaners out of probably about 30, and they don't get used. 3 out of the 4 are for sale.

Thanks for reading, Garrett

@Dysonman1 What got up your skirt Tom?
Yes if you click and watch an ad in the video I'll get paid $.04 USD. Definitely getting rich from that whole $.60 I'll make an advertising revenue here. Come on Tom stop and think for a second.

But real question for everyone I had after reviewing this machine was why do they still make it?

Maybe because bissell doesnt have any new ideas for sanitaire so they're probably still making these because of that

Why do they make a lot of the stuff they still make?

I think his videos are very well-done. I enjoy them. They are clear, concise, etc. Even though I have no interest in the machines, I appreciate what goes into these videos.

I agree that Sanitaire should have improved the dirt collection system. In all fairness, doesn't Miele makes a single cyclone bagless canister?
