So on a hunch, I decided to stop by my local Habitat ReStore. While there, I spotted this Convertible U4001 for $5. Of course, it followed me home.

Looking at the paint worn off the handle, and the need for a replacement bag, I'd say that Hoover got a good workout.

It certainly did get a workout, but whoever had it took decent care of it. It still runs good, and it has newer looking brush strips on the roller. The only downside is that someone didn't notice a tear in the paper bag and ran it like that for a while. So the bag had to get a good cleaning.

At least it's been serviced at some point in its life. I noticed the vac shop sticker. Also, the date sharpie-d on the bottom... 1980 lol, might've been a while since the last service.
