Here's one of the newest machines. Supposedly set up by a pair of ex-engineers from one of the well-known firms (I'm guessing ex-Dyson employees). Pronounced "Loop"

Apparently it has cyclonic separation: an outer cyclone, and four smaller ones.

It appears that the four smaller cyclones deposit their load down the thin dark tube near the hinge area, and there's a rectangular rubber seal to seal the end of that tube off.

Roger missed a step in the video below. To empty properly, you need to remove the whole cyclone unit from the bin. This is done by grasping the black wings on either side of the pre-motor filter. You can then use a cloth to wipe fluff from the shroud on the cyclone unit.

From what I can tell they're not selling them in the US. Their marketing department has been very sketchy when I contacted them.

I'm glad Rodger got one though. It really is the only way I can confirm that the machine is in production. I really thought it was never going to happen.

Hey Guys!

This is Pablo one of the founders of Lupe Technology here!

Spotted this and thought I would clarify a couple points you raise.

Absolutely we are in production- it hasn't been easy!

We did sell to the US as part of our Kickstarter campaign- currently in the process of fulfilling to our backers. Selling into the US on a more mainstream commercial basis is not straightforward for a young company like ours so its not currently on our immediate plans. Never say never though!

Was it the live chat you spoke to from our website? Or someone else?

And on a technical point- yes it's two stage multi-cyclonic.

Do share your (hopefully positive) experiences of the Pure Cordless!

If you want to get through to one of the team direct beyond the live chat its best to email on enquiries@lupetechnology.co.uk.

Many thanks,

Pablo

I have to say that from the few videos I've seen, it looks a decent machine.

It stands up by itself, the machine's weight looks to be distributed low down, the power switch doesn't have to be held on, the integral hose allows it to be used in awkward and tight spaces (e.g. cleaning the car), and the battery is easily replaced.

Also, that irritation which seems to be common with other bagless machines - cleaning the shroud - seems to be easily done with this machine.

My only reservation is the current price.

I would be hopeful that in the future, the price be reduced to more accessible levels. And I really mean that. All too often, a product appears on the market with a premium price-tag which never reduces to sensible levels, thus losing a decent slice of potential trade.

I just watched this vid last night before you posted about it! Seems like a really neat design and did you see the agitation?!?! That’s the most agitation I have ever seen come from a cordless anything. I’d highly consider one of these if they came to the US market.

Agitation

I agree, and the fact it seemed to do so well on Roger's problematic carpet.

I imagine the suction will be better than some of the competitor machines, due to the short distance between the floor-head and the bin. The competitor machines usually have about twice the distance between these two points (i.e. between floorhead, and the bin being on the handgrip).

I think for once, there's a reasonably usable-all-round cordless machine.

We await Roger's extended usage report, with anticipation.

Just to be clear, I can't take any credit whatsoever for any of this. I'm just a bystander, who saw that there was no mention on here, of the new machine.

I just happened to come across Roger's video, did a little 'googling' - as you do - and posted Roger's video and the appropriate link.

If it gives a little boost to awareness of the machine, then good.

I am subscribed to his youtube and find him rather entertaining when the days are long and tiresome.

Entertaining...

I do too, and I'm dying to see his test of the Dyson robot, which he says is pretty naff. So far, he hasn't done a video of it yet.

I remember when he did the vid on the electrolux trilobite, the first robot from electrolux. So he finally got his hands on a dyson robot? That should be something to watch! Have you checked out his other channel?

Thanks, would you believe, until you mentioned it, I hadn't?

I'm busy watching his 'Bits & Doings: Visiting London'. It's rather good.

Hey,

Thanks for the further comments.

So you know we hadn't realised the Mexican name connection when we decided the company name! My father is Spanish...but I was born and raised in London (now in Bristol).

Pleased the youtube video has shown some detail on the Pure Cordless.

Many thanks,

Pablo

Hey Guys,

Just to let you know we have added shipping to the USA on our website now. We have to charge a little more for shipping but we are not charging the full amount.

Many thanks,

Pablo

Looks like a great cleaner. I might try it at $499, but at 499GBP($695) a lot to ask for with few reviews and no track record per say.
