Hey all Vimm here, in my search for am Interstate Compact I think I might have found a good candidate. However I don't really know anything of this model besides it being one, the seller says they think it's a 1940's model. Does anyone have any info on this model if it's any good, perhaps date and or its similarly to the blue C4-8s?

That's a model C-2, which launched in 1950. The C-2 was made 1950 - early 1957. The first two years (which this one is) of production lacked the 'switch kick', a pivoting plate over the switch button which all later production models had. I'm blessed enough to own the 1950 version before magnesium was mixed with aluminum to make a much lighter weight cleaner. Mine is the heavy all aluminum version, but with one interesting difference. Mine has a removable deflector in the exhaust opening to deflect the air stream UP. And not at the wall or drapes. The C-2 was the first model to have a filter before the motor, as well as come with disposable bags.

This might be of interest, I know someone will probably copy it and sell it on ebay but I'll post it anyway.

Thanks everyone

I definitely will that is a fantastic booklet. Wow though this is the first time I've seen aluminum look more akin to a Macintosh classic that sat in the sun too long. However it wears it well, I saw this somewhat nearby for about 18$ but it was about a state away and local pickup. It has literally all the attachments just with a hose that has seen better days, though the seller is going to speak to USPS for me to see how much shipping would be, now that I know it's something.
