$15,had to go look. Decent condition, tool tray missing, sounds dry. Not sure of age.

I like the two-tone paint job.

I'm guessing sweet sixteen, due to the model 1600? Some nice attachments and hose.

January 28 1991.
I'm guessing as it's January 28 on bottom left. The rest is tax and item codes.
42 could be the cashier sign on number.
I worked at Walgreens as front end manager. If you show me a receipt I could tell you everything.
That's a very nice find you have there. I know you don't horde vacuums like I do. It's a real nice color scheme.
It's a eureka rotomatic power team. I'm only guessing but it's a very nice machine. Iirc you have an Electrolux and an early compact.
Congrats.
Les

Nice colors! I'm thinking mid to late 70s.

This Eureka 1680 is from the very first generation of Sweet Sixteens introduced in 1970. There were less deluxe models in the line up (1620, 1640, 1660).

Here is a TV commercial from 1970 - I think it was produced by the famous Young & Rubicam ad agency....

I like the color

That blue/gray color always looks so good on vacuums, especially metal ones. I've always liked these Eureka models. Eureka always had some of the better looking machines, I think. Always smartly colored and great paint jobs with the polished metal around the switches.
