I've wanted one of these since I found out about their existence in thread #40466. I'm not going to lie and say that I've been looking for one for years and years because I just saw it in the thread. But I have seen people all of the sudden been looking for a cleaner for 700 years right when somebody else gets one. It's a Eureka with a blue/green base and a chrome hood, and a black and white patterned bag. I have seen one for sale in my area, and asked for the name of it, but the seller doesn't know. Where the dial-a-nap knob is, it says "rug" and then another word next to it. I think if I could read cursive better and if the picture was taken at a different angle, I'd know everything about it, but unfortunately those both need to be fixed.

Thanks, Garrett

I remember hearing about these, but never saw any here. They were called the RetroVac. Model 1950A. I think they only made them for a couple of years, probably not a big seller.

I believe 2005-2009 but last 2 years where very scarce. I would love one it's a really nice looking vacuum. I've not seen one for sale in 3 years anywhere and I check quite a few places. I'd snatch it up if you can.
I've attached a link to overstock.com that sold it.

Thank you to both of you. I think I will buy it. But I've got to get that price down. He's asking $395! I'd be willing to spend around $60. This is a very cool looking vacuum though.

Thanks, Garrett

Oh heck no

395.00 no way. It's not THAT rare. I like them and wish I had bought one when they were being sold new. I can't believe some of the prices that some sellers are asking on the internet. One seller who sells cleaning supplies for residential use was asking 4.95 for a one pound box of baking soda.which sells for .69 at my local grocery store. Same brand . If you got this vacuum I hope they came down on the price. Hope you post and tell us how you like it, or if you buy elsewhere, same.

Rare

Oh yes there super rare. You want to know why. It's because he has one.
I love the vacuum but you could make something very similar for pretty cheap.

From what I can see in the photo, it's basically a re-badged Sanitaire.

@Les,

I would definitely like to own one of these. I'd be tempted to switch the motor out for a 7amp Sanitaire. Kind of a sleeper vac!

Nice

The 7 amp is a beast of a motor and would make it run like it looks.
