Hi.

Can someone point me to brands, models and sources for dust dirt bags for a 602 Royal? Google searchs on Royal 602 bags etc. turn up many things but nothing that looks workable. I ordered something off Amazon I thought would work (for metal Royal uprights) but that is definitely a no go.

Just to make sure I've got this right, this bag configuration has a "hose" sort of fitting that joins to the vacuum at the bottom of the bag. The "hose" is held in place by a spring clamp that fits around the dirt bag hose.

Thanks.

Jeff,

I believe what you are after is a Royal disposable bag system using the Type B disposable bags.

Ben -

That's what I thought so I ordered the bags below and ... Houston we have a problem.

The inlet is at the bottom of the bag and the bag expects it to be at the top.

Years ago when I was running this beast, I remember the bags had a hose (paper - same material as the bag proper) running up the outside. This would cause the dust to eject into the top of the bag even though the entry was at the bottom, relative to the vacuum bag case.

Therefore, I'm looking for the bags with the "hose" that runs from the bottom of the bag to the top. I just have no idea as to how to search for/source these.

thanks.

Royal bags

If you want to stick with Royal bags, and the Type B bags aren't working, you can use the Type A bags instead.
Or if you don't mind using from a different manufacturer, Eureka type F&G bags are virtually identical to the disposable paper Royal bags, and have the paper tube to connect from the exhaust of the machine to the top of the bag.

Here's a link to a big pack of them on Amazon:

Hi I don't know if this color or price would work but this would be the kind of bag you'd be like for.
I'll post some pictures of mine tomorrow or so.

Jeff,

As others have pointed out, the 602Z originally came with the disposable bag system for the type "A" disposable bags. But you can get Sanitaire "ST" bags for this, if you desire to keep the original type "A" system.

Although Royal has ceased to exist recently, you might be able to get your hands on a type "B" disposable outer bag system (2-066242-BG1).

Setup

The setup you have bags were made by many versions. Eureka F&G bags, royal type A bags, it's the most common bag and is easily found.
I have royal a eureka F&G and a few generics and very little difference.
I believe I seen vacuum bags at walmart made by arm & hammer F&G. I'd buy a F&G bag as the royal are more for basically the same bag.
