I found this new Kenmore Intuition lift off style vacuum on Amazon. Appears to be similar to the other Crossover models but this one is bagged. Pretty cool, it's like a bagged Shark kinda. I don't think anybody else is selling a bagged version of these style vacs. It's a pretty color too!

I was hoping for a bagged lift off style cleaner. The dream has finally come true. I still wonder if sears still owns kenmore since sears isn't looking too good right now.

Very Shark Like

I just saw this today, came through as a FaceBook Post from Kenmore. I wonder if the powerhead operates when you lift off like Shark, I didn't see it demonstrated in the video.

If the power is anything like the Kenmore Elite I can imagine this being a really good vacation especially for the price. Big fan of lift offs too.

Curious to why so few bagged vacuums don't common features like swivel and lift off but nice to see Kenmore changing that

I was getting teased about this model for quite some time now. Really do like the color, hope that it will sell well.

Hmm

Just looking at it it doesn't seem to have electrical connections in the wand so it's safe to assume that the head cannot be used while the body is lifted off. Kind of a shame too that would be a nice feature, that and a mini power head. I also found the video a little bit funny they talk about no dust plumes but at :44 we can see a small dust plume come out as the bag is dropped. I mean still that's better than the typical bagless but it just seems....sloppy when you're trying to advertise it as not doing that.

Either way it's neat to see a modern bagged lift off style machine though it could be argued we already had them in machines like the Sebo Felix.

I've been impatiently waiting for a new Kenmore cleaner to come out as I've been loving all of their uprights recently. I think I'll buy this, but there are some odd things about it. There is nowhere you can demo it. I just spent about an hour looking around the vacuum and doing research online and the machine doesn't have Shark's powered lift away type technology on the unit. I'm super happy to see that this cleaner has taken the intuition name, and made it even better than before. The "ultimate clean kit" as mentioned in the video is $100 more on top of the original price of the vacuum. It includes all the copies of Dyson and Shark attachments.

If somebody would buy one soon, and try it, and tell me how it is, just to reassure that it's as excellent as it sounds then I'll get it. The dust eliminator kit it $50 plus shipping, the extension kit is $30 plus shipping, and the warranty extend which is included in the ultimate kit is only $10 to take the warranty from 5 years to 10 years. I'm quite excited to try it, and I'll only be getting the warranty extend. I think that people should buy the cleaner now, before Shark and Kenmore get into a lawsuit for copying designs. It's cool to see Kenmore starting to evolve like Shark did from the original Navigator all the way to the Apex. If you have the money, I'd also recommend buying the Ultimate clean Kit for the Kenmore, because that'd be rarer in the future.

Thanks, Garrett

I really like the idea of the 5 year or optional 10 year warranty. Most of Kenmore's vaccums have only had a 1 year warranty which is just too short for the amount some of them cost, in my opinion.

May I ask a few questions about Cleva?

Since Cleva is being discussed, I would like to know a few things if I can.

Is Cleva the company that makes the Titan canisters also?

Where are Cleva machines designed?

Are they good quality, sealed vacuums?

Is Cleva a Chinese company?

I really like the newer Kenmore and Titan machines. Thinking strongly about going their direction with next purchase. Thanks.

I can answer a couple of these

Cleva's a Chinese company (with an American subsidiary). I've heard the Titan canisters, which they do make, are (or at least were) rebadged Panasonics (and that they used those existing designs when Panasonic got out of the vacuum market and Cleva replaced them as the Kenmore OEM) but I'm not sure who designs their new ones, like this one and the Kenmore Elite uprights from the last generation of Sears models (that are now sold all over the internet).

According to their website they make vacuums under license for a few other US brands—like they produce little ArmorAll-branded wet-dry vacs, etc. Based on their global website it seems like wet-dry vacs were actually their original stock in trade, but I've mostly heard very good things about the Kenmore vacuums they produced for Sears (specifically the 31140/31150).

This one looks nice. It's cool to see someone try to bring bags to "modern" vacuum designs and calling them out as a feature rather than a bug.

I must say that does look pretty sharp! Hopefully it’s longer lasting than its slim upright competitors.

All the Kenmore uprights and canisters are made by Cleva. And yes, Cleva basically got all of Panasonic's engineers and tooling from their vacuum division when they got out of making vacuums.

Wow this actually looks fantastic.......if I owned this, I'd definitely pop the motor off the PN after vacuuming, connect my universal 12 foot hose/tools to it and clean all over the place. I would ignore the tools that come with this. This really does look like a bagged Shark.

Very nice, I wish it could operate with the power head connected by wand to handle and main body off.

I got to see and use this vacuum in person at the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Convention last September. Luke brought it. It's nice, nothing about it screams "oh my God, that's awesome". The word Sears is no where on the advertising or the machine. The bags are not yet available to the trade - you have to buy them from "Kenmore" (which is Cleva).

We sell the Titan canisters, they are really the last Kenmore designs. Titan models are more durable than the Sears Kenmore models they replace, for example, there's a metal axle for the wheels as opposed to the wobbly old plastic on plastic design when they were Sears models.

I notice the Kenmore floorcare website has the Cleva name at the bottom. Does this mean Cleva has the rights to the Kenmore name as far as floorcare? I'm hoping so because that means Kenmore vacuums can live on after Sears is gone. I've noticed they were selling them on QVC, Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart sites, to it looks like they've been promoting them a lot.

Would like to be able to see them in the physical stores though - not sure if their contract allows for that or not. No vacuum shops in my area to try a Titan though.

for this last night......It is literally a shark lift-away with a HEPA bag. The thing that amazes me while watching it is they were acting like bagless was old technology and bagged is NEW. I think a lot of young people probably think a vacuum having a bag is ingenious..

anyway - A pack of 6 bags is $30!!!
