Hi, Friends. I know a lot of people hate Dyson around here and with most of their vacuums, I do to. I dont like every Dyson except one. The Dc28. The possible worst vacuum on the planet. Besides something like the V11. Or a Bissell. I hate Bissells. LOL. Anyway. The Dyson has a special place in my heart because it was the first vacuum I used. My parents bought it back in 2009 and it lasted 10 years. It was well taken care of. It also was the most expensive vacuum my parents ever bought. Its also the most powerful suction vacuum I've ever used. Even compared to my Hoover Max. It died a sad death in 2019 when replaced by a Rainbow in early 2019. The vacuum wouldn't recline anymore. The vacuum shop near us told us it would be $800 to have it fixed. So it went to the garage and sat for 3 months, we moved, it went to the trash.

Lets start at the beginning with how my passion for vacuums started(BTW, I already was into lawn mowers, string trimmers, and blowers when this started).
Back in Summer of 2009, we lived in the state of Georgia in a dirty cockroach infested house. One day in summer, my parents came home from best buy with a big box. We had no idea what it was other than my parents told us it was.... a vacuum. My parents had saved up $700 for a second in-line Dyson Dc28 Airmuscle Animal. When my parents got it out of the box we were all fascinated with the amount of this on the vacuum. My dad immediately said, "You guys can use this once and thats it. No other time. This was very expensive and we can't afford it breaking.". That is what he said to all five of us. I was the first because I was the most tech know how person in the house about anything other than my dad.
It was big, heavy, and most of all.... POWERFUL! The thoughts that when through mind were, "OMG, ITS SO POWERFUL I COULD SUCK UP MY DADS CAR WITH THIS." And that was that.

Two years ago, I had this vacuuming thing down. I could vacuum the entire house very easily. Easier than my dad even. I could use everything on it. The settings for the brushroll, hose, etc. One day, the head wouldn't recline, this was before I really understood how vacuums work. I had done little research. So what I did was take it to the stairs. Step on the stair. Pick up the vacuum. And lightly slam it on the ground. I know what you're thinking. It worked magically.
The Dyson worked fine 2 weeks went by. Then again. It did this for a year until early 2019, finally, it wouldn't recline. Two weeks later, my mother went to goodwill and bought a used rainbow for me. The end of Sadness.

I've learned much since then. I had recommended the Dyson cordless to my parents because they missed their old Dyson. BTW, in 2015 we moved to Ohio. I recommended a Dyson V8 for us. So we went to our local vacuum shop. They decided on a Dyson V11. Yay, sunshine, and rainbows. Hehe, not. 1 week in I was telling my parents it had no power. It was terrible. It was hard to empty. It always got stuck on our living room carpet. It was the worst vacuum I've ever used. Thats the reason I hate Dyson besides the fact James Dyson is a terrible person. Lets not talk about that. Anyway, I wish so bad that Dyson hadn't moved away from the standard, non-ball, uprights they had made. The cordless vacuums are terrible compared to them. Its kind of sad that they developed one of the best cleaning bagless upright ever built. I hope someday, they will be not made in Malaysia first of all, and that they bring back the traditional upright. The tried and true vacuum. Someday, I would love to buy one my self again, and compare it to bagged machines. Whenever I think standard for vacuum power. I think the Dc28. I wish I could find one that is brand new or perfect condition, even refurbed.

This is the only Dyson I like. And probably the only one I'll ever like again.
I would like to hear other peoples thoughts and feelings on this vacuum. Please no bashing, Okay. I hope to hear some good and even the bad. Hope you guys like what I had to say too.

BTW- I don't care that it's made in Malaysia, just as long as it's good, and the people make a little more money in that country, thats all.
