So yesterday, I just bought a refurbished like new, Hoover Windtunnel Max bagged.
I bought it for $80 and I love it. I thought it would be terrible. I did a ton of research and watched a video made by my favorite youtuber Performance Reviews. He is the best along side ibasaiac. Anyway, I went to my local vacuum shop and saw it in the corner for $80. I was actually looking for parts for my simplicity. It turns out the simplicity was going to be more expensive to fix. The total cost came out to $95.80 with a package of 2 HEPA type y bags. I brought it home, and tried it. The agitation surprised me. Its really good even compared to an old school Hoover Concept One. The weight isn't as bad as they say it is. I've used and carried and original Windtunnel and that was heavy. And it doesn't SMELL LIKE DRYER LINT! I love the hose. Its really long even compared to a Miele. I switched out the headlight to a 912 bulb so its brighter. The only con it the bristles dont stick out far enough.
Now, whoever thinks that the materials on this vac are cheap. They are very wrong. The materials are very strong. Not the nicest to touch. But built like a tank.

I want to hear some feedback about my decision. Keep in mind I only had 100$ to spend. And Im 16, and Im autistic with an anger disorder. Please Please Please, dont tell me how bad a person I am for liking this vac, Okay. But yes, I would love to hear feedback about it. I don't mind hearing about other vacuums. I'm very open.

If you would like pictures, Ill post them.

Great Vacuum for the price.

These are some pictures.
Now Im going to do my own review.

The Hoover Windtunnel Max Bagged has a lot of power. When using the hose without attachments, it will pick up anything pretty much. Spiderwebs, pieces of leaves, even bugs(I sucked up a centipede, yuck!). The bags hold a lot too, to compensate for the immense power. Another pro is the nice rubber wheels. They give it good traction and make it quieter on hard floor. The brushroll has insane agitation. Its really good at digging in to the carpet. The 30 foot cord is great for my house. We have a decent size house for living in a poorer neighborhood. I like the bag door. Its easy to put on and take off. It did not come with attachments but, I have attachments from other vacuums. They fit perfectly. I like the manual adjustment. I just leave it on setting 2 the lowest setting. The lowest setting should be the bare floor setting but, I figured out the true lowest setting is setting 2. I have no idea why. The on and off switch is nice and convenient, unlike the older hoover windtunnels, powerdrives, and even the tempo that this is based on.

Now we go to the negatives. The bare floor switch only works when using it in the operating position. If you put it in the upright position the pulley mechanism wants to fight the belt from turning. When turning it off, you can't put it in upright, you have to leave it and let the carpet stop the brushroll, or if you have it off, let the motor completely stop then put it in upright mode. But, what if I want to use tools you may ask. You have to use them sparingly. You will burn the belt if you dont do this. I've already made it really hot by trying to figure this out. So the hose isn't the best, but what about the headlight. The headlight is very weak stock. I put a 912 hoover bulb in it and now its much stronger. Last but not least is the hose its self. This one is kinda neutral. Its really long but isn't very well organized. It flops and droops around a lot. However, since I dont have tools, I just put it the catch where the extension wand would typically go. Thats it.

Pros:
Power
Bags are nice size(and they are HEPA)
Nice wheels
Brushroll
Cord
Attachment compatible
Manual Adjustment
Switch is convenient
Bag door

Cons:
Bare floor switch is finicky
Bulb

Neutral:
Hose

Bottom line:

This is a really good vacuum for the price. The build quality is good, the power is amazing, and the features are rich.
This vacuum has its quirks, but some of that is coming with the price it costs.
If you want one, I think they are discontinuing them soon but if your local shop has one, maybe give it a try. TTI isn't that bad a company, partly because they made several improvements and kept hoover around. Hoover is an evolving company.
Their products aren't necessarily bad, they are just different. So, lets give hoover a standing ovation for creating a bagged vacuum in the budget category that is good. Thank you Hoover.

BTW, hope that didnt sound stupid.

@BillbobJim Humbled to hear that I'm one of your favorite Yvacuum ouTubers.
Glad you're enjoying the new machine.
My understanding is there not discontinuing it, but rebranding it as the Hoover tempo.

Out of curiosity

What was the model of your Simplicity?

Simplicity 6 series and tempo

Thanks @vacuumdevil. The reason why I said that it was discontinued was because I can't find it in stock anywhere but in my local shop. Not even Amazon. Though it be nice if they re-branded it the tempo widepath again. No if they also got rid of the bare floor pulley thing.

@panasonicvac, my Simplicity is a 6370 with the 10 amp motor. It has the ready reach tools, and the wooden brushroll. Its actually a pleasant machine to use. I wish it had a little more airflow though. Its just too easy to push, not bad, but I would like it to dig in a little more. Now, its not working. I have to by a new brush, suction inlet, and hose.

PS- did you guys know that you can use a simplicity sb7-2 belt on a concept one.

Panasonic, if you would like pictures. I can easily post them. Let me know

I think given the choices

and a budget of 100.00 you made the right decision. I really like your pictures which show a lot more of the cleaner than any ads for it at launch. Your review was spot on so nothing stupid at all, lol. I have an early WindTunnel Supreme U5462-900 bagged non-self-propelled which suits me fine, I have so little carpet now, it would be overkill and as it is, mine ways 26lbs, inching up on my Kirby's weight!

I like my WT, it was in storage for 10 yrs before I got it, slightly used. It's Ruby clear red. They are loud but powerful too. If I could have one plastic upright from my collection I would take this one, and if the same were true on my metal uprights, it's Kirby for the win.

Good post and you're only 16, I'm impressed! Also my nickname is BillyBobJoFrank from way back when. So there you go!

Billy
