Hey
I'm selling my patriot and it's power head is the ebk 340. The wands upper and lower how do they come apart. I see no button where they usually are. I'm thinking it's compression fit and a good amount of torque in opposite directions example clockwise and counter clockwise.

Sometimes the friction fit wands for my Rainbow D also get stuck together. I hold the wands parallel to the carpet, about shoulder height and then let the wands fall to the carpet. That usually loosens them so that I can get them apart.

They're button lock

Or at least they should be i'm guessing they got forced together at some point which would have pushed the button lock below the hole. Depending on how long they've been that way they may have even rusted together I'd maybe try something like liquid wrench let that sit a while and then try to separate them.

If there is a button that makes sense. I dropped it a few times and nothing. I'll go spray WD 40 or liquid wrench whatever one I have.
Thanks for the help everyone. I'll soak it and tommorow I'll get them apart.

I may heat or cool it. I took a hose and cleaned out any loose debri. I dried it and sprayed liquid wrench and I'm thinking it will come lose. Water was coming out of the covered tab. There was debri in the groove.

I came home and the wands seperated easily. There was a small clump of debri that prevented it to come apart.
There now clean of debri and function great.
