I don't know the answer to this, having never encountered a Canadian Electrolux in the flesh, but do the 'C' bags for American models not fit the Canadian units or are you just going for total OEM originality? I'm certainly not criticizing, if that's the case, but good quality, third party versions of the 'C' and 'U' bags are plentiful and cheap online. I run Multifilter 'C' and 'U' bags in all my (American) Electroluxes with no issues.

That's what I was thinking also. Here's a link to a cheap bulk pack of 'C' bags on eBay for well under a dollar (U.S.) per bag.

I always enjoyed reading your Thrift Store discovery posts. I like that design, but the one I discarded had a yellow background with I think, blue writing. The example you have, would be great to have. Do you have a source for me? |

Here I was trying to describe the bag and I had the picture of it all along. Again, wish I had saved it. The bags will turn ups somewhere, eventually.

The handle on my teal pistol grip hose does swivel but it has cracks where it joins the hose, which is why I've retired it in favor of a vinyl OEM replacement. Amazingly, the hose still had great suction the last time I used it, which was about seven or eight years ago.
I've got a couple of aftermarket hoses that have a switch to control the power nozzle. It's a feature I really like in that I can instantly turn off the power nozzle if it catches something it shouldn't. But as Jon mentioned, the rocker switch on the underside of the handle is a bit problematic and I do occasionally hit it as my hand slides on the handle a bit. I do have one aftermarket hose that has a slider switch on the handle that barely sticks up beyond the handle and is stiff enough that it's fairly difficult to turn off accidentally. |
