Whats the difference between the electrolux dicovery through lux 3000. Just a thought that crossed my mind because they all sound the same and look the same.

I'm not going out on a limb on this. The difference has to do with the HEPA and improved filtration and the quieter they get.

There's been some small differences like the switch early models had a sliding switch where later models used a 3 position rocker, adding an electrostatic after filter. I've really not owned enough variations of them to know other differences. I've heard that they used a stronger motor in the 4000/6000 uprights. The 3000 also had a larger motor to it. Here's what was in my Legacy upright which is the same design as the 3000
