I saw this Hoover 541 on eBay and was struck by the unusual bag. It's obviously bojack but very beautiful!

I placed a bid and was the only bidder. The seller was here in L.A. so today I picked it up. I took it home and gave it a spa treatment.

The first two photos were "before" and the remainder "after."

I think it came out really nice!

Just beautiful. Wouldn't that make a nice replacement bag's graphics for a bag that fit the 800 or 825? Or even the 900 and 925? Congratulations on saving it. I have a binder from a vacuum parts company from the 1930's with pics of those bojack bags and their graphics. Will have to go through all of them to see which one it was.

If that is the original plug

I'd think the cleaner has had a pretty decent life. Nice and nice job!

The brush roll housing was very heavily mottled and stained. I was afraid to buff it out too much, so I satisfied myself with just getting a nice clean shine.

Likey, likey. I would love a good 700 bag and spreader for my 541; hens teeth over here.

It's called a bag spreader, Hoover calls it "Bag Support Assembly" part number 3654

You are a wonderful friend. Thank you so much. The 541 runs like the day it left the factory with its brand new satin bag.
