Why is that? Did they discontinue these bags?

I actually have a Galaxy note 10+... So it's not just an iPhone thing then. I uploaded them as a verticle photo, but that's how they ended up. Assumed you'd get the idea, so I left them since I can't change it. Im 99% sure that these magnesiums are just to assist TTI in selling them off. I don't believe oreck is making a long term deal with Walmart. The vacuum came with 3 bags. If you go on walmart.com you can look up oreck RS (I typed in oreck magnesium and found nothing) and they will show that only 4 or less are available at your local store. No shipping is available because it's in store only. Amazon also has this for 249 and it is sold by and shipped by Amazon. I told myself that if I felt it was just average I wasn't going to keep it. And I'm keeping it, I'm pleasantly surprised.

I have a Galaxy S8 that I've been using for a while now and I haven't had a problem with uploading pictures on here until now. Probably just a website issue hopefully.
Anyways that being said, mine had started carrying the Magnesium as well. I think this is the first time I've seen a department store selling Orecks since Target sold the XL Signature and XL Singature Plus but I could be wrong because I don't remember seeing other models after that one time in department stores.

in my video I just posted on YouTube, I mentioned that also. Probably 10 plus years ago Target did sell those oryx, I believe they sold them in a power team possibly? For like three or four hundred dollars? All I remember is they were all black with either orange or blue font. I really believe that it's because orrick had a surplus of these similar to how Hoover had a surplus of Hoover WindTunnel self-propelled a few years back because I got one for $80 brand new at big lots. I went back to Walmart today with my mom and they still had three of these on the shelf. I don't think that Walmart will be selling these, I think that this is just a way to get rid of them. As oddly designed as this machine is, I didn't expect it to clean as well as it does! If you have the means, I'd highly suggest picking one up!

The only thing I find a little weird about the Magnesium RS is that it has a little battery in the handle and the switch is actually a remote that tells the vacuum to turn on to high or low speed. The earlier version (LW-100) just had a chrome button in the middle of the handle to turn it to high or low.

I HATE to shop there, but, sometimes you have to. They had a LOT of Oreck vacuums there. They had very few Hoovers, however.
I always do a quick scan. I DID see quite a few Hoover Pulse, and cruze vacs at Ollies. Never a pleasant shopping experience there, but, at times, some great bargains. I've gotten gazebos for the VCCC convention in 2022 there. I figured it would be better to have some of these items I'll use rather than to rent them . I also will have the tables, lights, etc. The only thing we might have to rent would be chairs. But, I always scan the vacuum aisle at Wallyworld!!!! HATE that store!! And, I never use HATE, as, it is a very harsh word. |

I'm surprised they don't have any at your store. It seems like many people have 4 at their local Walmart.
That's awesome about Ollie's! I was there yesterday and also saw the Hoover you're talking about, several sharks, and the eureka floor rover. I went to buy a spin mop or one of the new mops that are flat and you wring it out by sliding it in and out of the bucket. Alas they had NONE! |

Vacuum devil you may think you regret getting rid of the oreck but your not. I don't think it's possible to own a central vac in central Colorado and even remember the oreck.
I do wish more Hoover's should be made. They were America's giant for a long time. Oreck owners lived a long time and they could pick up their bowling ball with it. Meh. Les |

I wondered what the deal was with why Oreck was popping up at Walmarts, as I thought they were an exclusive brand.
I almost had one a few years back on eBay that was missing the outer bag, but it was a bidding war and I lost out, it went for about $60 at that time. It fits into my quirky vacuum interest with its open frame and thin profile. @Patrick - My advice is just postpone dedicated collecting & hunting for awhile until you feel ready again - but if you just randomly find some kind of deal, or something drops in your lap, take the opportunity. And sure, some positive energy would be nice to have on the forum. There's already a vacuum company hate thread going (lol) so I think a praise thread would be a good counter to that. |

Finally they had one at my Walmart.
Picked it up for $209 USD with tax. I remember selling these new for $599. Just a few years ago.

The Oreck Halo started off as an entirely different vacuum, the UV-ST made by Halo. It was then later rebadged as an Oreck (where Oreck in turn made false claims about its germ killing prowess which got the vacuum binned). It was never intentionally designed as an Oreck to start with though.
Oreck by tradition and as marketing, never makes a vacuum with attachments. You must buy the Buster hand vac if you want to clean furniture, upholstery, etc. Sometimes they sell them as a package bundle at a discount. Oreck also has a backpack vacuum as well, which was mainly marketed for light duty commercial use. |
