2 NEW ELECTROLUXES! This past weekend as well as today, my collection gained a couple new members. The first is a beautiful red and cream Canadian Electrolux model 86 from our fellow member Doug Smith. Doug and I have been friends for a long time and agreed on a trade deal which resulted in my new to me model 86. My 86 includes not only the original hose, but also the original manual, floor tool, floor brush, upholstery tool, and dusting brush. I am absolutely over the moon about this! A big big thank you to Doug for this fun new toy! The next machine I have found is a very nice 1988 Electrolux Marquise. This was one of the last metal bodied Electroluxes. Thankfully it came with a brand new replacement vinyl hose. I absolutely love the colors of this model and will definitely cherish it in my collection. Enjoy the pictures!

Absolutely love the colors of this! Very rare here in the US, but still a very high quality and quiet vacuum!

The Marquise

Really loving this one as well! The sandy taupe color is definitely not a common one.

I absolutely love getting machines from other countries. Its always interesting to see what other countries were using at the same time as us. That history is important to preserve and that's why I have a Hoover Senior from the UK, a Hoover Junior from the UK, these Canadian Electroluxes, and several Canadian Hoovers.

I agree.

I have a few things from
hoover U.K. I was getting 2 . But, I had a terrible problem with the seller. Canceled the deal, demanded, and got a full refund. THAT wasn't easy, either. But, I don't let go.

Great machines.
LOL is the plural of
Electrolux = Electroli> Just kidding. I enjoy having multiples of some models. Some can't see it. But, that is not my concern.
Keep it up.

The red and ivory color scheme on that Canadian Lux is beautiful.

Some of my other non USA vacuums

Being that I mentioned my Hoover’s from the UK and Canada, I thought I’d show my other non USA made machines. Included are my Canadian Hoover Convertible, a British Hoover Senior (size comparison next to a green Convertible model 1030), a Hoover made Baycrest Power Astromatic Celebrity, and a British Hoover Junior.

I don't like red and not a huge electrolux fan but that is without a doubt the nicest electrolux I've seen.

I think I like the shape and styling of the Canadian Electroluxes more than the American ones. That color combo is very nice too.

I only have one foreign vacuum in my collection so far - a Canadian Kenmore upright from the late 90's.

The color schemes and styling are different from American Electrolux's and the motors more powerful.

Very nice

I have a Marquise as well in beautiful condition with not a scratch or dent on it. I got it off eBay but it was local and was cheap because the motor was bad so I didn’t have to pay shipping So made it worthwhile to get it so I replaced the motor from a Renaissance I had with a bad hose circuit board. It used the same motor. I don’t have the matching PN as it didn’t come with it but my Silverado had a Marquise era PN but I ended up giving away the Marquise PN with an Ultralux and keeping the Ultralux’s PN for the Marquise instead because it has the light and more dense bristles. But I really always loved the mauve and taupe coloring of the machine and even the design and coloring of the Marquise PN cover. Someone locally is selling an old model R with a Marquise PN on craigslist for a very reasonable price...Might get it and swap out the PN with an extra PN 1 I have and then resell or give the R away to an interested friend or family member but space at home is tight right now for another vacuum, even if temporary and I’d prefer to find someone who would want the R before I buy it and the R still has its original hose which could be leaking so that would likely need to be replaced adding in to the investment needed to make it a good machine for years to come and it’s also missing the accessory wands and flip rug and floor tool, combo dusting brush upholstery tool and crevice tool. While it would not need to be all genuine to be complete and I could fit it with various extra tools and spare plastic wands I have that will work with it ....the genuine combination tools really set the Electrolux canister “user experience” apart from other brands.
