I have 2 pink 65s, and 1 gold one.
My favorite(s) would be: Convertible model 69,70,1070, 1076, all 4 of the 'flower power bags', I forgot the model numbers offhand, but, they are taupe, goldtone, ceylon yellow, and the red/pink model. I just saw all of these yesterday. Constellations: the ceylon yellow 'tilt', and the last one they made, the pumpkin and seal griege I love them all of course, but those are my favorites |

Which is on par with other collectors. I also like the U4003 as well.

Gosh, anything from 90s powermax and especially earlier. My personal favorite is my 700 with a 750 motor and 700 fan and not counting my 150 for instant tool conversion anything from 1937 thru 1976. 77 and after I favor some over others but I've never had a problem with anything early 90s and earlier.
I have to try some additional hoovers to confirm how many more I might also like. |

My Hoover 102, Hoover 105 and all three Hoover 541. I have a Hoover 115 that I rarely use and a Hoover 1348 that I use once in a great while. Here's a shot of one Hoover 541.

I’ve had a decently wide array of Hoovers over the years, from Convertibles to Concepts, but my preference actually lies with one of Hoovers later “platforms.” Although others won’t feel the same as I do, my favorite Hoovers are Elites. Top two are my Legacy II 820 U4551-910 and my C1403. Although they’re both Elites, they differ greatly. One is a very early, basic, commercial model and the other is an optioned-out household model, but I appreciate them both.
Next would come my Elite “Energy Efficient” and my Sprint. Although I don’t own one, I also like the idea of the latest bagged Conquest. I’d love to get my hands on one. |

First, I'm assuming we're talking about Hoovers with a capital 'H', referring to the brand and not the brand agnostic British lowercase variant.
I haven't owned very many Hoover brand vacuums--two convertibles and four QuickBrooms. Today, I just have two QuickBrooms. They're great for a quick power-assisted sweep of the kitchen floor but that's pretty much their limit. The two convertibles I had were a tan and green "Brady Bunch" model that my parents bought in about 1972 and passed down to me in the late '80s. That's the model I wouldn't mind having again. The other one was a later version with the larger motor cover that had a headlight, somewhat similar to the machines in the last photo of reply #9 but in a green and white color scheme with a striped bag. My parents gave it to me when they were moving in the late '90s. It was probably a trash rescue and may have been nice at one time but it was pretty beat down by the time it reached my hands. I wasn't an enthusiast back then, so I gave both to Goodwill when I was moving in 1998, having decided my Eureka Princess that I had at the time met all of my vacuuming needs. I rarely see Hoovers that vintage around here and when I have, they're pretty much at the end of their useful lifespan so I just mainly stick with lowercase hoovers by Kirby and Electrolux. |

Simple, classy, streamlined. Not the first thing I'd save in a fire, but........
Do you have/need/want a spec sheet for it? I'm sure I could find one for you. There's so much written about all of these Hoovers. Sadly, some is incorrect. I recall Ann Haines, retired director of the museum, stating that incorrect info on Hoover was going into an article. Even AFTER she made the corrections, the author refused to accept it. Sadly, the info was published. Another reason one must be careful when one writes.......... it's permanent. And, in time, things can come back and bite you. Those spec sheets are so handy and helpful. Everything is right at your fingertips. |

I have a lot of Hoovers and many of them mean a lot to me, but this machine is absolutely my favorite Hoover. This is the 1979 JCPenneys labeled Convertible with the boxtop bag. Aside from an actual Hoover and Western Auto versions, this was one of the only Convertibles to have a boxtop bag. This is a machine that I will likely take to the grave along with the second one I have pictured, which was a project machine. My project was to convert a regular Convertible model 704 to the very rare and highly coveted 704-01 or in this case the never seen 704A. It may not be 100% accurate, but as the 704-01 is so hard to find, I had to try my hand at making one for myself. Enjoy the pics!

There are many I really like. I love the old flick switches on the Convertibles and I prefer the round metal handles over the ones with the rubber grips.
I like many Elite uprights, I really like my Hoover WidePath upright..that's a definitely a real fun one to use. The Steamvacs are great. The SteamVac WidePath with headlights was very cool. I especially love canisters though. But which style do I like more??? Dimension 1000 style, PowerMax, or Celebrity. I love them all. The PowerMax style is the cheapest made but still great power, easier to carry, controls on the hose handle and great performers. So I'm gonna post my 3 favorites I guess... my Hoover Supremacy canister, since it has the controls on the handle and a gorgeous red color, my Celebrity II Elite S3061 canister and my WidePath upright. I used to have a Red WidePath upright but then that got traded for a navy blue Soft Guard with another collector. He really wanted red and I can't pass up navy blue, so it worked. LOL I can't leave a photo out of my 1020 either. It is my commonly used upright of any in my collection! |

I owned one many many years ago when I was about 13.... I THINK it was the model Celebrity 3? It was a yellow flying saucer shaped canister that had no wheels, so it hovered. AND it had a great performing power head! I really liked that machine and I ended up selling it to a neighbor because I remember that if I left the canister sit too long in one place, it would leave a dark spot on the carpet from the carbon dust coming off of the motor. It was a shame that it had that effect. I would have really liked to have kept it and used it often. It had nice features and nice attachments.

Mine would have to be the convertible, specifically the ranger hood models. I don’t know what it is about them, but I just love the way they look. Here’s a few pictures of my U-4423. It was one of the first American Hoovers to have a date code, and it says it was made in November of 1987. I specifically bought one that was scratched up so I wouldn’t feel bad when it got a few scratches from regular use.

As an historian, I guess the favorite would be the model O, the one that started it all.
Aside from that, my favorites are the 541, Aire-Dyne tank, the first of the Constellations, as well as the first Pixie. Both of which I have in the two-tone blue/grey. Then there are the stick-Vacs. The Hoover Lark, in the light blue. Rounding out the favorites has to be the the original Hoover Floor washer in yellow. The only one I don't have is the floor washer. Used to, but that needs to be replaced. These were all landmark models, and each made a huge impression on the American public. |

My favourite Hoover is my fan-first Platinum Bagged Lightweight Upright! It was rated very highly in Consumer Reports and I have found it to be an excellent carpet cleaner: easy-to-use, very long cord, bright headlight, huge bag that is really easy to change, and power switch on the handle. And I bought it at Sears Canada for under CAD$400. I can't understand why Hoover/TTI discontinued it.
