You say plastic like it's a dirty word? We've been fighting wars with plastic since the 1960s without problems. (See hyperlink) yes the fact that this is made in Germany and not China or Malaysia from a company Yhat guarantees parts 15 years after its discontinued. I think it's safe to say it will last longer then the competition. However are there better cordless machines yes. cordless Henry and Lindhaus would definitely be my preference. Unfortunately the masses want cordless Bagless stick vacuums and Miele and any other company wanting to stay in the market is going to make them. @Lesinutah Not much has been published that I've seen about it but if you can find a link it would be appreciated.
