I have a red Hoover Sprint 7 amp upright that as left here by the previous owner. It refuses to take up hair from my carpet, and the brushes have begun to "grab" certain rugs in a nasty way. I clean the brush roller, but I am wondering if I need to replace the brush ? There is no "high/low" pile control for the height, either. I can lean the bag back, and get under tables, but there is no way to adjust for carpet height variance. I am starting to dream about buying another vacuum, and of course, I like the unique ones. I generally don't give up on a vacuum until it is truly dead. Even then, I want to string colored lights on it, and keep it around.
