Ive got an old Fantom Falcon that i Honestly just want gone as im in the process of downsizing. This price might be crazy but the ONLY other one I see on ebay is listed even more, but it has the power nozzle.

Any suggestions? Also I have best offers open but no interest yet

that price is obscene!

No, They are most certainly NOT worth that price, outside of the lala land that is eBay, Euro-Pro/Shark made Fantoms in my experience never go for more than $50, people really need to stop using just eBay as a price reference and go more for places like OfferUp or Facebook Marketplace prices.

Now with that being said, i have been looking for one of these machines, but i would offer you at MOST $25, maybe $30 if you have the power nozzle since those work across many different machines.

The price isn't obscene imo. Have you seen the uprights that go for well over $200.
Their is a cult following with Fantom vacuums. Your going to be hard pressed to have vacuum collectors say anything over $50 is a good deal.
Your not asking $10000 for a rainbow spray painted graphics on American restoration for sale a few months ago.
Good luck selling it.
Les

Incorrect Les.

Those Fantoms are different. Those are the original models like the Thunder, Cyclone XT, and Fury that were actually made by Fantom/Iona themselves.

The Thunderbolt, Falcon, and the other later canisters like this one are rebadged Euro-Pro machines that clean nowhere as near as good nor are they as reliable as even a Bissell or Kenmore vacuum from the time.

As a polite reminder, just because something is priced or even if 1 or 2 sell for that much on eBay, does not mean that EVERYBODY will actually pay that much for it. You might get 1 person that absolutely HAS TO HAVE IT that might buy it in say a year or 2, but those buyers are not common at all and typically if you DO get an offer like what you are asking for it, it will probably end with the seller not paying for their items or trying to pull return fraud on you.

As I said before, you'd have better luck selling this for under $45 since you are missing the power nozzle and the machine only has 1 of the original tools. Contrary to what Les thinks, most Fantom collectors aren't looking for these later machines.

I wasn't aware of the difference.
Your going to be lucky to get $30.

I've got all the tools in the little drawer but I completely forgot to add that to the photos.
I might just donate it at this point, nobody near me has interest in vacuums and for $30 its barely worth the hassle

It was a terrible vacuum. The filter in the bin clogged almost immediately. That machine was sold at K-Mart stores for $149 and I had lots of them for repair. Of course, nothing was repairable so we wound up throwing them all in the dumpster and trying to sell the customer a real vacuum cleaner. The plastic is as fragile as a woman's love.

Just because someone else has it listed for over $300 does not mean it is worth that much. That is not its value.

These Fantoms were made after Euro-Pro bought out Fantom, and then they later rebadged old Fantom models into Euro Pro Shark and then later just Shark.

That being said they are rare vacuums.

The fact the powerhead is missing is a big negative. Put foot powder onto the rotting rubber and rub it in and pat it down then dust off the excess with a brush and it will fix the stickyness of the rubber reverting back to petroleum.

I'd say $25-$30, and with shipping being $45 where I live, thats about $70 which is way over its value, but collectors would pay about that for a vacuum.

People have paid about $200+ for old Dirt Devils, so if there is a fanbase of it, you will get a buyer. But with this one the thing is not many people know about them.

Miele, riccar, Kenmore and many other high end cannisters units can be had for under $175.
Your not going to see any with a power nozzle for $200+.
I'm glad there's a potential buyer. Its win win. My opinion and other posters appraisals mean nothing.
Congrats
Les

I wouldn't say that Les, everyone's comments and input contributes to something. Everyone on here has seen and experienced different things that gives them different opinions on vacuums and all that, so it gives a more evened-out pool of critique that can help.

Based on vacman101's profile I think the vacuum will be a good fit for his collection.
