Hi - I have a question about a Miele part that has come loose and wanted to see how important it is or how to fix it. Before adding pics and specifics though I wanted to make sure this was allowed. Thank you for any feedback.

Adding to it here...

It's a Miele, and the rubber or plastic flap came loose, and it's hard to put back in. So I was wondering how important it is to have it in the vaccum, if it can do ok without?

Where did the piece come from. I haven't been blessed with a Miele and a pic or description would be needed.

Purely cosmetic

That cover is just a trim panel that pivots back and forth as the handle is raised and lowered. I don't think it could be reinstalled correctly without pulling the machine apart. But no, it won't affect the functionality at all.

Sometimes you can pop that back in the machine has to be lying flat.
that can come out if you accidentally hit the machine on something going to low.

Personally I would leave it out it's purely cosmetic .
