I decided to bake. A lot. Tom A. was on the phone while I whipped up: Irish soda bread, banana nut bread, zucchini bread. There are currently 15 treats baking in the oven... at 12:20a.m.
Of course. Murphy and Harold (Inspector 12 and 13) are close by. Between those two and the bodies in the house, I'm never alone. I always have fun things to occupy my time.

Well, I delivered some of these treats

gottahaveahoove's profile picture
today. Everyone was very happy. Some cut into them right away. They are especially nice this time.
Cookie blitz tomorrow.
My goal , this week, is to prepare dinner for my aunt everyday this week. She won't have to cook.
Monday: shrimp and scallops in oil/garlic, tomatoes mixed with fettuccine
Tuesday: Pork chops Parmesan

Wed: Stuffed shells with meat and ricotta
Thurs:Roast beef
Fri: leftovers
Sat: Chicken Alfredo lasagna
Not sure where the energy came from, but, hey...............

It seems that the banana nut bread

is always a big hit. It is very moist, largely due to the 6 mashed bananas that go into it.
The pepper cookies are nice and moist, too. I learned how to make them 30+ years ago, i n the rectory. Peggy, the housekeeper, taught me a little trick that makes them fresh and moist.
Parchment paper helps a lot, too. (Thanks, Martha Stewart)
My cousin's wife made some of the family cookies. They were very dry. Obviously, she did something wrong. Some people get dust changing Convertible bags, have belching cleaners, and make dry baked goods. Some have a skill, a talent, a gift.
It's a world gone mad, I tell you.

Zucchini bread

Does your zucchini bread taste similar to your banana nut bread. I've always thought there pretty similar.

not really

gottahaveahoove's profile picture
there's an entire zucchini (unpeeled
), shredded in it. It also has 3 teaspoons of cinnamon (nature's aspirin).
The banana nut bread has 6 mashed bananas in it. That's what makes them moist. And, by now, everybody knows that tired moist story.
