I've had it for about 2 weeks now. While the smell isn't -quite- gone yet, I think it's diminishing (or getting used to it lol). The power is very strong I've noticed especially when vacuuming hard floors. On high power with the nozzle set to the lowest setting and the brush roll off, I can feel the brush rolling when I push the vacuum across the floor. My K3 doesn't do this, and I think it's because of the shorter air path of the Felix. It seems like it pulls the nozzle closer to even hard floors. I have to adjust the nozzle to "2" so it doesn't skip across the floor. The onboard hose is very handy, but a little short for anything more than a chair or two. Mine has a slight leaking sound when the hose is pulling at the connection (not a big deal though). Something different between the ET-1 on my k3 and Felix is when I turn the brush off on the k3, some lights stay on, my Felix shuts all the lights off. Something I'll bring up now before I do a review on this is the swivel neck. It's not a deal breaker but the swivel is not as good as other machines. It's definitely a strong connection, but it only slightly veers on all the ET-1s. Even the Miele uprights have only a slight swivel. I don't honestly care about having that with a vacuum but I figured I'd mention it because I don't think its a highlight feature. I will say my carpet looks better than ever after using this and I'm shocked at how well it does. Even stronger agitators like royals and Kirby's don't stand this carpet up as well as this. My personal opinion is the design of the Felix and it's power are what makes it perform better than even my K3.
Below in one of my photos you can see the edge of the carpet next to the hardwood floor. That's an extremely high traffic area in that always gets matted down on every rug that we purchase. The Felix has been pulling it back to life. |

Glad you are enjoying your Felix, in my opinion this is the best upright cleaner on the market. The light on my ET1 does stay on even when the brush roll is turned off. Do you have the hard floor brush for the Felix as well or do you always use the power nozzle with the brush switched off? Mike |

What I mean by switching the floor tools is in my home I only vacuum one area rug and the small kitchen and dining room. I don't see the point in bringing another floor brush out and detaching the powernozzle to attach the floor brush. The Felix cannot stand with the floor brush attached. And you have to line it up just right to get it to slide in, so you have to be right down there with it using both hands (I know this from just removing the ET-1 nozzle and putting it back on). There are only 2 "onboard tools" an upholstery brush and a crevice tool. Not dusting brush, no wand. The hose is a decent length and great for anything above the height of the connection into the vacuum, but anything low tips the vacuum.
