Does the plate say heritage 2 legend 2 1?
You do have a knack for getting nice condition rare vacuums.

May I ask........................

why they made 2 sizes? They are such expensive things. Do you need a few inches in differences?

I believe the smaller nozzle was made to make it easier to get under furniture and tables without having to move them out of the way. I have a Heritage '84 in my room right now and it has the wide nozzle fitted, it is absolutely enormous and stretches out past the outer edges of the bag assembly!

Dwayne,

If you are indeed going to sell your Heritage 84, I wonder how much you might want for just the head? I have a Heritage 84 myself. But don't forget, Blaze (the OP) is also looking for the same version for his Heritage 84.

Thank you,

Ben

I already have a 13 inch Heritage 84 vacuum. All that is left for me in that category is a Heritage II one

Can you tell me

if you notice any difference between the two nozzles when vacuuming? Is there more suction with the 13"?

Were Heritage and Legend the only 2 models to offer a smaller head?

John,

In the post-Sanitronic years, these were the five models to have the 13" nozzle option:
Heritage I (1983)
Heritage 84 (early 1984, mostly similar to Heritage I)
Heritage II (late 1984-1987)
Heritage II Legend (late 1987-1989)
Legend II (1989-1991)

Billy,

Your mileage may vary, but this video Ryan Logan did with Adam Mercer suggests it is at least on par with the standard 16" nozzle.
