set the pace for so much. That agitator is great on carpets with fringe. It never gets stuck. The handles cold have issues. But, it revolutionized vacuum cleaners.
The tool hookup and suction AND tools are soooo good. I have about 10 different units. I also have about 5 Windtunnels. IF I had to choose only ONE......................................... |

If Hoover didn't sell their clean air patent to Panasonic. While the Concept One is far superior build quality to the Windtunnel, going back to the dirty air system was taking two steps forward, three steps back. Granted the Concept worked well, but the DAM was a more innovative machine. Sad there was never a Dial-A-Matic II with the handle problem solved.

I really loved the Hoover Self Propelled WindTunnel Ultra I got my parents for their anniversary about 15 years ago. It was great for a large single level condo with acres of deep plush wall-to-wall carpeting and a large entryway covered in polished marble flooring (it was easy to turn off the brush roll for bare floors). The “windtunnel” channels in the brushroll chamber really work!!! And the self propulsion made it really effortless to clean all that carpeting. I really think it’s a great design by the folks in North Canton!
