Thought I'd come out from the shadows and make a little thread showing my latest daily drivers LOL

FYI I think the last time I posted on here I had two Kirby Avalir's as my daily drivers. While I loved the quality of these machines I ultimately found them a bit too big and awkward for our UK home... So I sold both machines on eBay and the money I made pretty much paid for my first two Sebo machines :)

So I bought the X7 Excel and E1 Excel 6 months ago from John Lewis.

Both machines are exclusive to John Lewis being the Excel versions.

Nothing overwhelmingly different about them - The X7 has the headlight, stair hose and dusting brush over the base version.

The E1 came with the new style turbo brush and a dusting brush that clips on to the metal wand for storage.

I chose these models mostly because they are both exclusive machines and also because of the colour. They both match in white and I also prefer the white colour over the darker colours as it is more forgiving in terms of hiding any scuff marks etc.

IIRC The X7 Excel and the X7 Pet were pretty much the same price at the time - I'd of gotten the Boost button with the Pet version but the gloss black colour put me off as I knew it would be a nightmare to keep looking box fresh.

Fast forward 6 months - both machines are still my daily drivers and I'm very happy with them. But I had my eye on another Sebo machine. Limited Edition - 25% of the sale price goes to a cancer charity - and it is white too so it matches my other Sebo machines nicely!

So I now have the Felix Rose as an upstairs vac, the X7 as a downstairs vac and the E1 is used on bigger cleans throughout the whole house when I want to get under and behind furniture etc.

I added the extra straight suction nozzle to the E1 as I wasn't too keen on the hard floor performance of Sebo's unusual style 'Kombi' nozzle that came supplied with the machine.

Loving the build quality and performance of these machines and can see them remaining as my daily drivers for quite some time to come!

Sebo cleaners

I think Sebo is one of the best, if not the best brand of cleaner you can get at this point. I have a Sebo D1 canister and a Sebo Felix and they are both excellent cleaners. I much prefer hose cleaners over uprights but the Felix is an exception because it provides all of the flexibility of a canister. I think you are using three of the best cleaners that are available.

I so want to get an X7... but currently have a Miele C3 on the top floor, Felix Sebo on the main floor, and a Miele U1 in the finished basement + a few lower end vacuums tucked in here and there.

Help me think of a way to justify the purchase to the misses.

That is a superb cleaning trio.

I own only the X7, and have nothing but great things to say about it. Next in line for me is an E3 Premium. Someday...

You would be hard pressed to find a better trio. There also an expensive trio.

I'm a big Electrolux/Aerus fan, and don't know much of anything about the Sebo brand.
Your post inspired me to do some poking around the interwebs, and I have to say; the Sebo vacuums seem very impressive!
As a canister user, I like the versions that have a power nozzle.
And the Felix is just ridiculously cool! And I like that Rose version!
I wish I had known about the Felix when my in-laws were looking for a new upright. They buy big box store vacuums, and keep going through them. I know it's a lot more expensive, but next time around, I'm going to tell them to look at Sebo.
Enjoy yours! That looks like a great trio!

Barry

Thanks for the kind comments guys :)

In regards to the machines being an expensive trio.... Sebo aren't as expensive in the UK as they are in the USA.... All 3 machines together cost less than £1000.

The Felix was only £240. I think all 3 will of cost me around £850 or there abouts. Maybe £900 tops

more expensive

I'm not sure why Sebo and Miele vacuums are more expensive here. If you paid 240 pounds, according to Google that's around $298. Here, the Felix with the ET1 power nozzle sells for $699, that's around 562 pounds, so it's almost twice the price of what it costs in the U.K. I'm not sure if it's import fees, or if they don't sell as many units here, but it's definitely a major price difference.

The Sebo's with a 'No-tools' removable brush is awesome.  Such a good idea.
