I think mine is either 45th anniversary or close to it.
Congrats i can't imagine you not getting it.
I think the eureka wide track I won on eBay is a bust. I asked for tracking number or anything. I haven't heard anything. Tommorow I can dispute it. I am getting a royal power tank cannister tommorow for $50.
It doesn't have a power nozzle or atleast im not aware of it. I'm not sure if they use eureka, rugmaster or nutotne. I do have an extra eureka as I bought a green eureka power nozzle for my c8 in green.

Does it have a power nozzle? If so is it flat belt or geared belt?

You don't have to have kids. If I have kids it would be adopted. You can maybe plant a seed of vacuum knowledge through your nephew. I tried my nephew who is 18 but no no avail.
Im not even following topic here. I need my bearing puller to take bearing off rainbow to put the new bearing and nut to finish the rainbow silver.
Im waiting for my teacher to send invite for virtual class.

Awesome

lesinutah's profile picture
That is pretty sweet. I'd say watch it be more powerful than your compact buy you replaced the motor. It should run just like your compact c9.
I'll make one suggestion on the c9 you painted. The power nozzle the I believe sticker or top section goldfish yellow. If you paint it light blue it would match the power nozzle. I'll say again that your compact c9 paint job still looks good.
What year is the 50th anniversary 1993? I have the two tone 45th anniversary.
The power nozzle for mine is exactly the same as the c9. Where it's white its black on cxl power nozzle.
I have used my royal power tank 4150 and it's not as powerful as c8,c9 or cxl.
Glad to see you got the cxl though. I remember you asked why I got another compact when I already have one. You know the answer is you get a chance to get a compact/tristar you take it.
Congratulations again.
Les

Nice score!

I was going to ask the same question about what year yours is. Some friends bought a Tristar CXL complete in '93 and another friend bought same few years later. I house sit for both and have used their machines many times and really like them. I brought one home to try at my place since that's the best way to see and compare it's performance. Very strong. Neither have the lg. exhaust filter on front and yet they are still relatively quiet. You could have a conversation with someone while vacuuming without yelling! Been thinking about adding one to my daily driver collection! Congrats!

Kirbykelter

lesinutah's profile picture
Like your namesake I love Kirby's too. I even painted my c8 d80 green after my d80.
There is a small filter like the black foam they use on shop vac filters. It filters a little. I have the plug and it bog down the machine.
The cxl with a wessell werk ebk-360 power nozzle. The Wessell Werk is $150. The regular power nozzles are really good.
If you like Kirby this is what a Kirby canister would perform like.
Since I've got my c9 a year and a half ago it's been my daily driver.
The tristar/compact power nozzles are made by eureka.

C9

lesinutah's profile picture
I used it today and I pushed it to the limits. I have had to stay away from others for 2 weeks so it hasn't been vacuumed.
I vacuumed 1950 square feet and a flight of carpeted stairs.
I used my eureka power nozzle. I filled the bag 6 I'm not kidding 6 times. I kept the bag and emptied and reinserted it. I wad going to replace the bag but I realized it was going to be alot of bags.
When I turned the vacuum on and when I turned it off it ran strong like all the pet hair didn't affect it. Its the most debri I got up with a vacuum ever. Just when I thought my compact couldn't surprise me it does again.
I put filters in all 3 vacuums. God bless compact with it's floor brush, dusting brush and eureka power nozzle. I only used eureka because my other nozzles weren't easily accessible.
Ya my compacts are performing at peak performance and no signs of showing with heftious vacuum job ever.
I have the aircat the big one with the geared belt. The compact was only vacuum out of Kirby heritage 2 canister, royal power team which motor is more powerful to max out the turbo cat.
Yes there great.

Took the motor out of the model 89 blew it out whit the tristar CXL hose on blower port at electrolux motor whata cloud of dust that came out of the lux motor!!!
She rusn smoother now more air flow suction seems to bea tad louder i atribute taht to the dust being gone and motor spin faster she works good .

And that’s on eBay?

I have motors that I can ship but I don’t see it being near $80 between purchase and shipping. Maybe near $20 due to international shipping but not $30.

Here is a link to a motor with free shipping.

Yea ok, so he’s on the east coast. If he gets the motor I shared the link to, it’s free shipping. If I send a motor, which I will have to rebuild one, I can send it for the cost of shipping. But first I’d have to see if I have one in good shape. I’m sure I do.

Unfortunately, this seller won't ship this item to NB, Canada. Here is what you can do:

Update your shipping address and try again.
You can find similar items from another seller.

Or you could just say... yes, I’d like your help and you could pay me to ship a rebuilt motor to you which would be a benefit to you.

Or...

Would you like to continue to struggle trying to find the part you need for the price you want to pay? Or would you like my help?

I do have motors available that I can rebuild.

Mike

Antoine...

ok, keyboard warrior settle down...

First off those are NOT MY auctions, those were suggestions to you. Second, take a chill pill and calm down. YOU asked for help, nobody has offered, so I being the decent person I am, chimed in to offer to help you just like I did with the photos of the C80 manual. I SHIP wherever the hell I want to ship and can happily ship you out a motor. email me here in VL your address, I will get a quote tomorrow when I go to the post office. I am very positive it will not be much at all.

nobody is making themselves superior here so take a small word of advice my friend...
DO NOT bite the hand that is trying to help because you might end up getting slapped.  cool

you ask for help and therefore I am trying to help.

That long green hose and then tape to metal wand attachment looks cool. Is that of the green Electrolux.
That floor polisher is it a Regina or electrolux. If I recall compact made a similar model. .les

You plan on painting the Electrolux power nozzle?
The TriStar power nozzle is it similar to the gold having the same belt or is it the geared belt?

Looks really good. I'd have a suggestion. If you got a printout of Electrolux put it across the power nozzle cut the tape out where the logo is painted it light mint green. It would blend nicely. Your very good at painting vacuums just a thought.
Nice job looks as good as it cleans.

I seriously can't take pics. My Google pixel 4xl googles flagship phone $1200 it came out a year ago but I've had the battery replaced 3 times and motherboard two weeks ago. It won't turn on. I called google or India same thing 3 times an hour each.
I can't take pics if I wanted too.
My cars been another problem but ling story short all my vacuum's except c9 a couple others are all in totes for me to organize.
So I really don't have any pics available. I use my c9 at least three or more times a week.
I have class online for the next two hours. Breathe....
Glad you are keeping your vacuum's in tip top shape.
