Hey guys, how’s everyone going I haven’t posted on this site in awhile, I’ve got a question for everybody so in regards to vacuums is it normal for a bypass motor To become hot While in use? By the way this is my most recent vacuum purchased both recent as new and new to me,It’s a Chinese vacuum cleaner called the deerma TJ200 Wet dry vacuum, the beauty of it is you don’t have to change your filter in between wet vacuuming and dry vacuuming,By the way for all you Americans, this machine runs great on 120 V as well 240V , This machine is designed for 240 V but it has a US plug as it’s from China

The hose connects down low which is good so it's less likely to tip. My question is why is it so weirdly tall? It looks like stacked hat boxes or a wedding cake. Is this the new Wedding Cake vacuum by Dyson?

It is pretty neat
Although the motor does seem to get hot enough that is if you run it for about two minutes take it apart with it unplugged The motor is definitely hot enough to burn if you physically touch the metal fan on the motor cooling side,Although during normal operation you can feel that the air coming out of the motor is quite warm as the design is a tangential motor, So I am honestly not sure if running it at it’s rated voltage is too much for the motor, The brand name of the vacuum cleaner is “Deerma” And the model specifically is TJ 200

This vacuum looks like they copied one of Rainbow's old molds, and the floor nozzle looks like Miele.
Considering it's a Chinese vacuum, it's going to have a Chinese motor - that means cheap windings, cheap thin grease that might as well be petroleum jelly, high RPM tiny motor with parts attached to it that are overworking it beyond its capacity...so not surprisingly it will give off a lot of heat. It likely doesn't have any way to pass air through itself to cool itself either. Also its power rating is 1000-1399W. That's some serious current flow in that motor. The brand is actually Xiaomi and the model is Deerma TJ200. I myself would never pay that much for a Chinese knockoff - I will bet it will not last to the end of the year. If it was $50 sure - but not over $100 | ||

Update…
So that vacuum still works, and still works fine, it isn’t getting much use as I have other vacuums, but it does get used for when I need to have something that has quite a lot of airflow and suction, although I’ll admit that’s probably not a vacuum that actually would have as much suction as the Car Wash Vacuum, and that it’s definitely still works, at the moment I have a pool sock filter around the filter cage, as there was a lot of sand and dust getting into the pleated filter so that does prevent a lot of the dust and sand getting sucked into that filter Bella to find dust through so it can end up in there, I’ll probably grab a spare filter over the coming weeks for it shipped from Ali express, potentially the same store where I bought it from, and I might also decide to pick up one of the genuine wet floor tools for that machine and unfortunately mum lost the crevice Nozzle, but it does a decent job for its suction in my opinion
