Dwayne,

Good luck! These were often found on many commercial-use uprights.

They're not plentiful as of late, but you can get an orange replacement shake-out bag for all your Royal metal uprights under part no. 2-066240-BG1.

You can also get equivalents in blue (2-060640-201) and gray (2-061840-101, 2-066240-101) if you look hard enough.

Most royal bags can be made into shakeout quite easily. You simply take off f& and g adaptor attached with wire.
The bags all connect to exhaust. Hooking to exhaust makes them he easiest to convert.

What the heck? A couple months ago I looked on ebay and there were a dozen of those orange commercial shake out bags for sale. AND there were a handful of generic cloth bags too. Now there's nothing. Well, you could always stitch together your own bag.

The Henry vacuum company isn't on eBay anymore. They sold the bags. They didn't have the metal couplers for exhaust but they had them.

Dwayne,

Is your Royal machine a model 654, or a late model 3-154?

To find it and the serial number, look for a mylar nameplate on the back side of the nozzle casting, by the front wheels.

Example:
Model 654
Serial F87A002084

This looks like the 5 amp duke series made in late 80s to early 90s.
I just got done polishing a vacuum with this bag. It's a 7.5 amp version and it's top fill type B bags.

Les,

His machine looks like this 655 here, except it has the exact same 4.5 amp motor as your 1982 Royal 880. And instead of the red Adjust-O-Rite plate, it would have had a textured gray plain belt cover when it was new in 1987.
