Can anyone tell me what year this General Electric upright vacuum model # AVF 18 is? Or anything about it? It was my grandmothers, it still works. Thank you. |

I know some people will have exact info. I want to say 1948 but 1948-1953 is likely the years produced.
Kenmore, GE and premier made similar models around this time. I mean like Chevy/gm/Cadillac similar. This vacuum something unique about the brush roll and it's design is similar to 1979 Kirby tradition. I believe it's first rotating brush roll and it is pretty powerful. I do like the vacuum very classy look. Idk this popped in my head. Vacuums resemble car body styles. This vacuum resembles just after WW2 car styling. If I'm wrong I stand corrected but there you go Les |

Wrong. I didn't look at the pics that close. I found on eBay the premier version I believe pr42 perhaps meaning the year. Im pretty sure I was right on first rotating brush roll.
