Found a DeeBot 901 mapping robot vac for 179 shipped new with the 1 year warranty.
its supposed to be here about the 28th with free shipping. I've loved the cheap Eufy 11+ dumb vac for almost a year but wished it could be able to learn the rooms and all that so the 901 should be able to do that kind of stuff. We both here got the stimulus check and unemployment is taking care of us so bills are covered just fine so wanted a upgrade, plus the battery on the Eufy is barely starting to loose capacity and some of the service parts that wear out are getting hard to find. It still randomly cleans the house nicely considering what it is but want something easier to get the filters and brushes for that wont bounce all over the house. I'll probably give mom the Eufy if she wants it once we make sure it works OK but looking forward to trying it out.
I think it normally sells for 250 to 350 new so I think it was a pretty good deal. I didn't want to chance a refurbished this time to make sure I get everything in perfect shape and a full warranty. I'll give a report when it shows up.

Showed up yesterday

Well it is a nice little robot that gives updates in a woman's voice and works with Android and Apple phones or tablets. When you first fire it up it starts running along the edges like mowing a lawn slowly building a map of the room, then picks a direction and does straight lines to fill in the middle and clean everything. It makes a map on the app that shows what it has vacuumed and the lines of the paths it used to accomplish it. If it runs out of charge it will charge up then resume where it left off if you choose the option.
My old dumb vacuum would wander around randomly and actually did a good job but usually would take all of the battery charge out for a hour then eventually find the charger randomly. This guy does all the areas it can reach safely as it builds and updates its map and is done and all clean in about half an hour or less. The suction on low power is better than the 11+ was at max and it only uses half the charge to do everything it can reach.
Our house is pretty cluttered around the edges and it mostly has figured it out and I can make avoid boxes virtually to keep it from places with cords and things I want it to avoid.
Only bad thing is the bin is really tiny compared to the Eufy 11+ we had before so it fills up fast.
It tells you on your phone when it starts cleaning, when it gets stuck, when it's full, and when it's done and I think you can disable them or whatever you want.
The schedule functions can set daily or whatever days you want if it doesn't need to vacuum ever day. It can do a section of the map or you can make a needs cleaning box for sudden messes.
We'll see how it goes but so far pretty impressed and paid 180 shipped for a brand new in box unit with a year warranty.

For a few weeks I've been eyeing them, but I couldn't pull the trigger. I have found that one of the reasons I'm bad about robot vacs is making sure the house is picked up for it to run. I couldn't convince myself on buying one as I already have a neato and a Roomba. These do look cool though!

OK, it does it's thing every morning about 2am and runs for 20 to 30 minutes getting everything it safely can. I set up a few virtual stay out boxes for the areas it can get jammed up with and to keep it away from Dobby my parrots area. I banged something close to his cage the first night freaking him out and he bounced off the bars a few times but was fine when I went to check on him but concerned.
It hasn't sucked up too many cords as it avoids the stuff along the walls and we try to keep the main areas clear for it.
It's fun to watch the map grow on the app as it learns more of the house every night and adds things that pop up.

Well today it was on the charger but I had picked it up to empty it and clear the main brush and so it stopped charging and didn't automatically clean last night. I had it go to the charger till it charged up and started a manual automatic clean. It said new location found and built itself a map as it did its thing and still found and cleaned all the safe areas. I figured crap, now I have to redo all my stay away boxes but when it finished it went back to the charging dock and said restoring map, do not remove from charger and it put back the original map with all the updates till it got confused. 👍It seems to be tied in with the charger, Android app, and network so it has to be on the charger by itself or it might not charge or stay updated. I found out that you just hit the plug symbol at the right bottom of the app and it will locate and plug back into the charger even if you just bumped it and tried to set it back in place. It will announce that it's charging when it's happy. There is a small blue light beside the blue auto button that is constantly on if it is hooked up to 2.4ghz wifi, it doesn't work with 5ghz
The lights all go off once it's charged till it gets woke up to clean or you tell it to clean with your phone.
The ebay seller just recently raised his price to 214 but there are a few refurbished units for around 150 with like 90 day warranty if anyone reading wants to try one for cheaper.
