Wow you do exist. One of the people on here I like.
If you make sure there is no electrical connections in the handle where the metal is covered. You get a blow dryer or a heat gun and heat along where the metal is. When it's hot channel locks or crescent wrench with a towel or hot pad so you don't scratch up the metal. The heated area would loosen any glue and or loosen it where twisting it. It would come loose where you can pull it out. Les |

Here is a pic.
I have atleast 3 rainbow sets of wands. I have them in a tote. My waterbed spring a leak and is on top of the totes. I took a pic of the button you maybe referring to. I don't have a gas handle for my compacts. If I wanted that off. There is a screw somewhere holding it together. I imagine 4 screws to be exact. Undo those . Www.rainvac.com or www.ezvacuum.com...

I didn't notice you replied back.
Yes I have cxl, c9, c8 and a patriot. The c8 with the new motor has the most power. Tge cxl motor was replaced in mid 2000's. The c9 I'm not sure but none are lacking in power. The Patriot has a patriot version of the wessell werk 340. I love wessell week's but omg I don't like it. If you get a rug snagged in the brush roll you have put nozzle in locked upright position. You press the there.al reset button and power on and off the machine. It's pulling 90 plus cfms so the rugs are going to get stuck. The machine doesn't perform as well as TriStar/compacts as you know to have the blue patriot storm bags. I have tried a type c cannister bag and it works better. I just don't like the power nozzle. This is off topic on YouTube you have your big shopvac and you used an electric power nozzle on it. How did you do this. I used my big Craftsman shopvac. I have a good filter and put disposable bags on it. They are very large bags. It has I. Guessing 120 or more CFM. Les |
